Kentucky Gun Co. has this same gun for $40 less with free shipping and no tax.

$20 off $150 coupon, plus 12-15% discounted gift cards from raise or ebay puts cabela's at about $135-140. then save $10-30 on transfer fee too and this apparently has an extra magazine?...much better for me, but don't have sales tax either way

I believe this has a stainless steel slide, compared to KYs blue steeled one. Worth $40+tax more (but no transfer fee)? Your guess is as good as mine...

First pistol I ever owned. Put 300 rounds through it.
Added a Crimson Trace Laser.
Reliable, and for me, I have become very accurate at 25 feet with iron sites or laser. I also added some orange paint to the front site. Good CCW

I'm not sure how it was $161.99, even with the $10 off code that only puts it at $169.99.

Yesterday it was ten percent off, not ten dollars off (179.99-18=161.99). was considering it at that low of a price, but didn't bite and won't at $180.

Mine strangely runs rock solid with hollow points but occasionally jams with fmj. My biggest complaint is that if I don't have my grip just right I hit the mag release and it partially drops the mag causing a bad jam.

At this price it is hand downs the best deal for CCW .380. The trigger is perfect for a gun without a safety and is very easy to break down and clean. I know there are some who say that .380 are two light and not lethal enough.
Of course I am not going to bring this to a gun fight or combat but load this with some Glaser Powerball 70 grain and the receiver of one of these rounds in the 5 - 20 foot range will not feel any different than a basic 9mm round except the 9mm will be more lethal at greater distances.

I run mine well lubed, it runs flawlessly. Others have had issues. This looks like a record low price!

Mine was 100% reliable but hated the wobbly trigger and crazy pull so i sold it and got the lcp.

That's hilarious the LCP trigger is horrible compared to this you must of had a lemon. LCP 1 is the worst trigger Ive ever pulled on modern firearm.

It is a crying shame that this weapon has not been able to get through a 50 round box of ammo without 1-2 malfunctions. At $169, this gun could be an exceptional value - and a great stocking stuffer. I paid about $199 for mine. It shoots straight and is about as small as can be, but alas Taurus has never been more than 90% reliable for me.

Pt111 is 100reliable and I own 2 of these since the first 50rd break in has been 100% reliable. They like a good amount lube and I polished the feed ramps in all my pistols which is easy to do.
