Pity that Ruger can't make an SS variant of the rust-prone LC9. Though reliable, my mag release isn't protected by the holster and it gets surface rust, and the slide is starting to show wear after a couple years of 3-day/week carry, no matter how much I wipe it with a silicone rag.

Owned it. Liked it a lot till it broke after a month. Sent back to Taurus 2 times. After 6 months an literally 15 phone calls to the most useless customer service in the business they Sent me a new gun. Because the gun is unreliable I refused to keep it and gave it away as a Christmas present. I could not trust this gun with my life. Taurus makes so.e decent guns for me this is not one of them and if you want good customer support this is not the gun or company for you unless you don't mind waiting months.

This gun is a total waste of money.I have owned it for 5 months and of that Taurus has had it for repairs 2 times for a total of 4 months in their care... I sent it in 3 months ago and still have no idea when it will be returned. Taurus has terrible customer service. No time line on when the new barrel will be in or when it will be fixed, no replacement program and no quality control....good thing they have life time warranty because it will be needed. While there are a lot of people that will defend them remember you are not known for your good issues it is the bad ones that define you as a company and Taurus has had a lot of bad issues. Google it and find out ...I really wish I had listened when I could have.
