I have a bunch of these and they're great range mags. About the only downside is that my Lula loader won't work on them.

Good price for a good cheap mag. I bought a bunch of over the past 2 or 3 years and after using them a couple time it makes the springs less stiff and havent had any fails to fire or feed after that.

Fast shipping, great price. Got these last week. They all fit well into my AK. Haven't run any rounds through them yet.

How are these Tapco mags? The look nice, but I bought a bunch of Thermold 30-round AK mags and they suck something awful. The cause FTF's up the wazoo. I have only a small number of the metal mags, which are awesome and work flawlessly, but I don't want to spend $40 per mag for Circle 10 or metal. That's just nuts.

So, anyone with experience using these Tapco AK mags, can you offer some feedback? I did pull the trigger on 10 of them, because at $9 /each (with shipping) that's just too cheap to pass up.

Thanks!

When I bought my converted Saiga, these are what came with it. I used them for months. Never had a problem. Relatively easy to feed. Then a friend told me they were crappy magazines.. "You need steel surplus for an AK". So, I bought some. Those were great too... Really the Saiga AK is awesome. Seems like any mags work.

Then after buying all those mags, I realized what I really needed were some 20 rounders for bench shooting. I wish I had bought more of those before everyone went crazy. The tapco 20's are really nice. So are the Hungarian 20's.

I have tried a bunch of surplus AK mags.. all work great in the Saiga. I wonder if sometimes it's the AK, not the mag that gives people trouble? I haven't tried any other cheap plastic mags though...

About 3 out of 5 of mine work flawlessly, the other 2 had issues. I bought them for $5 though, so that worked out. The new slab-sides have all been flawless for me, granted they cost about $15 each but are lighter, lock up tight, come in decent colors. Thermolds are crap in my experience. Steel comblocs can be found for $20 and are great, always rock and lock solid, durable, but heavy. My 'serious work' loadout would be a lightweight Tapco in the rifle, comblocs in the pouch. The comblocs just load easier for some reason, especially when under stress or at difficult angles.

Thanks. The Thermold's are just aweful. I don't even want to use them for target practice.

Good to see these kind of prices again. Someone should tell Widener's, they're still asking $23 each. I've had great luck with Tapco's 47 and 74 mags. I prefer the smooth side as they mate with my Yugo AB2 a bit easier, but hard to argue with this price.
