Looks hideous, especially installed. The LAW is Much more aesthetically pleasing since it sits flush.
Wasn't the LAW originally aluminum and they changed to steel cause aluminum was too weak? Wouldn't the same issues they had happen again with this one?
Aluminum, like steel, comes in a variety of flavors. Generically your receiver is going to be of a lower grade aluminum than this, and design plays a large factor in terms of stability. The hinge on one side of the LAW looks like a mechanical addition, probably the original weak point, while both haves of the SA look to have the hinge integrated into the milling.
Edit: A short google search later and I'm not coming up with any major problems with the gen 1 or 2 LAW in terms of cracking, but a yes on cycle issues.
I hope this stands up over time. Wanted a less expensive but well made alternative for the LAW folding stock adapter. Time will tell. Does anyone know anything about B390 aluminium? (Or 7079 for that matter)
I can't speak to the specific item, but my experiences with Sylvan have been very positive. I have several of their 9mm conversion kits, and they were very helpful trouble shooting issues I was having with their products matching someone else's hardware(psa, cough, cough). Machining has been pretty top grade on their products, and I've been eyeballing the blem of the folding stock for some time, but they're always sold out. Some are pissed about them taking the idea from the Law, but somebody was bound to do it. 7079 is going to be a high strength aircraft alloy. What it gains in strength it will usually lose in malleability, but I doubt you'll be doing anything to test its limits.

I almost bought this one then I read reviews so I just went ahead and paid extra for the law, and I don't regret it, its badass, I was worried about the aluminum over time, and law tactical fit together like a glove
