This dust cover looks like something my millennial nephew would buy for his pretty AR that he takes photos of to post on Instagram.

I have this one and the American flag.

I like the flag version. It's patriotic yet not gaudy, versus those who Cerakote a rifle red white and blue

Agree. Had two in the cart...but 8 bucks for something that could be stuck in a soft sided envelope? Yeah, no thanks.

My standard dust cover is metal and when it pops open. Its scratching the lower. Not a big deal. However it wont happen with a plastic cover

I think the parkerized steel dust cover actually leaves material on the hard anodized aluminum receiver.

I added one of these to my last build, it is fantastic and the American Flag one looks great too! Strike may be made in Asia but it's good stuff unlike that CobraTac crap..

It is a spring loaded pin to install, no more hassle trying to set the pin

I like these. Just put one on an AR pistol build. Looks better than a standard metal milspec cover and fits great.

I threw these on a couple of builds just for shits and gigs. I like them, not really for any specific reason. I like the look of an FDE cover contrasted on a black upper reciever. Also, these definitely seal better than standard dust cover. I guess if you're ever actually really concerned about keeping out sand or something.

Provides a different look I suppose.

Not knocking this product however what is wrong with a milspec dust cover?

Spring loaded pin for install, can get it on and off in a few seconds

I guess this wouldn't scratch up your receiver as bad? Not sure and not really sold on it lol.

That seems to be the only "feature!"
