I wouldn't worry too much about it. The last 2 times I have taken the call from them they haven't offered any price I couldn't beat with a quick search here. They called me on this one and offered it for $595 with 'cash' or $617 with CC. That's right, $4 off for cash and an upcharge for credit. The offer before that wasn't any better.
I won't be wasting my time with one of their 'make an offer' spam ads again.
I tried the make an offer feature for this gun last week. Received an email asking for the best time to contact me to talk to me about it rather than letting me know if they would accept my offer. That was the last I heard, never actually got a call. After a few days I submitted another, higher offer and got the same email and then never got a call back about it after letting them know when I could be reached. I ended up paying a little more and just getting it at Cabelas. I am definitely happy with the gun itself though.
