I also think the STR-9C qualifies. To be sure; "For rebate inquiries please call 1-800-619-4703"
I just called the rebate center. They confirmed that the STR-9c model does not qualify for a rebate. Only the STR-9 model does. Disappointed.
Agree, it's pretty vague being they have a number of models (i.e.: F, C,SC, Etc). You could call Stoeger to verify it, but being that KyGunCo is advertising the rebate on the "C" model, I'm pretty sure it's for all models of the STR-9. I've also seen a number of other companies stating the rebate on the "C", haven't looked at other models to see if anyone is stating rebate on them.
Take this with a VERY small grain of salt but I have seen a couple videos of the Taurus G3 mags being modified very slightly to operate in the Stoeger. They seat, they lock and they lock the slide back just fine. The only slight mod is to sand or Dremel off just a mm or two of material off the top of the feed lips as the Taurus mags are just slightly taller but still may work without mods? I haven't seen actual shooting video of this swap but on the work bench it seems to work. Since Taurus mags are a bit easier to get with aftermarket support. My be worth a try. HOWEVER I will stress this, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK and if your are not experienced in modifying firearms and parts. Do not try this! Please post any comments if you find this to work or not. Again I am simply relaying what I saw, not my own experience or opinion.
It's worth noting that both companies use Mec-Gar to manufacture their factory mags.
I seen a YT video of a guy that used the ETS 40 Rd mag in his Stoeger STR-9 fullsize, he said he had to shave some plastic off for the "Mag Release" to fit, but he said it also locks the slide back on last round. He claims no issues with it, but he never show him actually shooting with the ETS mag in it. This is the actuial mag that he used:
ETS 40 round (9mm) mag fits S&W M&P (Product Code: SW9-MP-40)
The 40 rd mag sells for around $35, but if the 40 works, the other ones show too, you can get a 17 rd mad for around $25, and a 30 rd for around $26.
I remember in the earlier years of Stoeger (1998-2002ish) they made copies of Beretta handguns so Beretta mags could be used. Guess that is no more? I remember buying one called the Stoeger "cougar" which was a copy of the Beretta 8000. From what I just read, Beretta now owns Stoeger so anyone checked to see if any Beretta mags work? Just a hail Mary thought
Nice price, but cost, and availability of proprietary mags continue to kill this deal for me.
What I've found with this gun is the purchase price is attractive, but trying to find more mags for it is expensive as hell like $50 bucks a mag, or they're just impossible to find. yes you can find the 10 rounders on the Stoger website but I don't live in a mag limited state so I won't buy 10 rounders.
I'd be interested any other mags working in this gun too, with high capacity........
I've read that the 15 round mags for the STR-9 works in the STR9C - right now on gunbroker there are 18 and 30 round mags being offered (search GB for "Stoeger STR-9")
Only comes with one magazine, and NONE appear to be available any time in the near future. I haven't found any other mags that could be easily modified to work. If you know of any, please post your info.
I found the 10 round mags in stock right now, but no 13 rounders

Can anyone confirm if the rebate works on the STR-9C model? Verbiage on the rebate form says STR-9 model, so it might get denied for these: https://stoegerindustries.com/carrytoughrebate...
