I ordered this for store pickup. Walmart wouldn’t help me remove it from the box to inspect. There is a bit of a dent at bottom of one side, but I can live with that.
Do yourself a big favor & buy good bolts & nuts to install shelves. I had a bolt head snap off, so i have to take it all apart.

Call the website and explain that no one would help you and when you got it home, there was a dent in it. They should compensate you like others have been saying. Take a pict of it in case they need it. No one should pay full price for something that is damaged. Ten minutes on the phone may get you $20-$30 off. Tell them you would hate to take it back and reorder, but you will do it if you have to pay full price...even though you probably won't with it being so big and a P.I.T.A.

I liked these better when they were $99 -$20 because it came with a dent in the side

I just bought one(+7% cash back using Ebates). Let's hope there's no dents or damage. I chose local pickup so I can inspect the cabinet over there.

Got mine and holy shit just buy a fuking metal cabinet with a lock because that's basically what the hell this is,had to drill holes in the fucker because the the holes where the racks went where way fuking off, lots of space though, some cracks, I'd complain and try to get some money back but its giving me the 403 saying its unavailable.

I didn't have that trouble. I did have to drill holes because I wanted the plastic rifle holders in a different place...up against the LEFT side and did not use the last shelf. I took one of the long ones and cut a shorter one to go all the way from back to front. Worked out nicely. Sorry you had so much trouble. I would call Walmart, but they would just tell you to return it.

They are actually very nice cabinets. Just got the blue one from Walmart. A lot of room. But they left the keys out, and had to call them. Three days later they arrived. Couldn't be happier with the quality. And it was only about $140 with tax and shipping.

It's ok depending what you need it for. I've got 5 of my rifles 1 sub, 12 pistols, mags, ammo, and accessories. Now anyone with a crow bar can bust into this thing and yes you will most likely get dents. But ok for me cause we have a walk in closet that was converted to my gun room. It's not out for show just extra storage. So it's good for some and not so good for others depending on your purpose

Oh and if you don't have very long barrel rifles you will be drilling holes and adjusting mounts.

That is just Trump working hard on getting jobs back to the US! Trump...way better than Obama, and the two Bushes put together. And you can even throw in Carter while you are at it. And you can't compare him to Hillary since she was never a president...thank the Gods.

I got smaller version. I can't afford a safe for, but this is better than having guns sit in closet.

Got the 22 gun version of this, GCB-1522-B148-DS, in March '17, for $129 from Walmart w/ a free door organizer. How is this a deal?

Sorry for all of you who got a beat up one delivered. I was debating one of these cabinets for a while but when I checked them out at a few different stores (Dick's, and a few gun shops) they all seemed flimsy as hell, so I passed.

I did end up getting a Stack On 40-gun Woodland safe (brown/gold with camo interior) off the Home Depot website, and am very impressed with it. Doesn't come with a plug outlet, but whatever.

I just shopped for these things this weekend. The difference between the two is that the 22 Gun @ Walmart or Farm & Fleet (Wisconsin & Illinois Store... just had the 22 gun for $129.99) only has 1 top shelf, whereas the 18 gun (Just picked up and In the back of my truck right now) has the side shelves. So, depends if you want the side shelves or not. I went with the shelves for a few bucks more. I don't have more than 18 Guns.... Yet. ;) I got mine from Dick's for $149.99 minus $20 in points I needed to use up. Should work out good until I get an actual safe when I relocate to my forever home (If I can ever stop buying these damn guns, I'll finally be able to build it... lol).

I bought this yesterday. There's no way in hell that this thing will hold 18 rifles. I've got shelves in one side for ammo and the other half barely holds 4 rifles, 2 AR15'S, a deer rifle and 10/22. These aren't bad for the price but pretty flimsy internal shelf metal. The center divider bent while installing...cheap foam for lining sucks, will upgrade to something better. If your looking for fancy, this isn't it, if you need something to lock guns up from kids then this works. By the time I add lighting and better shelving and padding I probably could have done better but oh well. Does lock up good and looks good.

How about 3 ARs,2 AKs,one shotgun ?

I have this cabinet and I have 2-AR's, 1-AK, 1-Mossberg 500 12GA, 1-Savage 320 20GA, 1-S&W 15/22, 1-Mossberg .308 4X4 bolt action, and 1-Stevens 22LR bolt action in it. All the guns sit side-to-side and I only use the back wall as all the 'tactical' guns stick out too far to use the side rests but if all you had was shotguns and rifles without large optics, pistol grips, protruding mag wells, etc this could fit 18 guns in my opinion. If you used all the space though the guns would not be quickly accessible though.

Update: I ended up painting the underside of the top shelf and the entire divider satin white. The divider being white really helps with visibility. the underside of the shelf, I'm not sure. My thought was a light mounted just below the top shelf on the back wall would be more effective with some white (reflective) surfaces.

Anyway, I'd say, the more light colored the interior, the easier it will be to see inside this.

Dicks had them on sale for the same price (i think) in store today i believe. Ive seen them in local walmart. Looks like a decent cabinet for just a keep it out of easy reach. It should be obvious its not a safe.

The floor model was wrecked though. stamped metal separating, kinked and peeling paint. Go easy on it and it should live a long life i'm not sure if they tossed it in off a crane or what but it didn't make a great showing for the product.

People can get in these because the metal deforms and gives out.So anyone thought about a few strips of additional metal placed around door and frame to reinforce it?

I called Stack-On, they gathered some info, I emailed them a copy of my receipt and they said they were sending keys out right away. It doesn't do anything for all the scrapes and dents, but at least now I'll be able to get into the piece of shit.

Maybe the cardboard box it comes in is made in USA

Have you called Stack On? Regarding Walmart not refunding you without you returning the item ....what world do you live in? It is not their fault that the item is damaged and the only way for them to get their money back from FedEx or Stack On is to have the item in hand to either claim shipping damage or return the item to the manufacturer as defective. The people you are speaking to (on the phone I assume) probably think you are trying to run a scam on them. Goto the grocery store and get some few empty boxes to wrap the safe in the cardboard in the shittiest way possible to return it back, if they complain tell them you told them you lacked proper packaging.

At $157 with tax and shipping, I'm reasonable happy with it.

Mine arrived in a box much larger than the listed packaging description on the Stack-on website. The corners have a full 3" of extra foam in a bag style protection. Despite this, the paint was chipped in one of the corners. Not badly. Barely noticeable. Clearly happened before it was packaged.

Keys taped to the bag it comes in. It would be really easy to miss them if you opened it from the other end.

Hardware etc just floating around in bags inside, but no harm done from this that I can find.

Shelves and divider packed separately withing the big outer box. Separated by foam and paper, in good shape.

Keys look like an old automotive key. Oddly, though cut on both sides with what looks at first glance like symmetry, they only go in one way. So, no flat side, non reversible. Guess a white paint mark on the "top" will address that.

I don't understand why safes and cabinets always have dark colored interiors. I'm tempted to paint the interior flat white before installing the shelves.

Not psyched, at all. Pissed. First off, FedEx just left it, no buzzer, no nothing. No surprise there, because they're f-cking horrible. It was outside of a condo building for 5 or 6 hours. If it was smaller, it would have grown legs. Box wasn't in great shape. I opened it up to find dents, and scratches. Thankfully I Have a four-wheel dolly, and live on the first floor. I wheeled it into my place. First, I had to destroy the massive box it was in to get it out on my own. But this here is the very big deal. I realized the door was locked on the thing. No big deal, right? Very f-cking big deal. They didn't send keys. They didn't send instructions (who needs them, but still... warranty info?) I was on the phone with Walmart.com for like 45 minutes going back and forth and back and forth with the Indian named "Jen" - yeah right - who said she'd be happy to send a replacement. What for? To wait another week and hope on in good shape with the f-cking keys shows up this time? I said forget it. I want a refund. She tells me to put it back into the box... Oh yeah that's right. I had to wreck the box... and FedEx (who SUCKS) will come and pick it up. I told her that the box wasn't an option. She says that they'll arrive with a box to pack it in, and I flat out told her "no they will not". There's no way they'll have a box big enough. Even if they did, are they going to sit around twiddling their no-no hole while I try to get this thing back into the box? Yeah, like FedEx is going to show up with a 5 foot by 3 foot by 2 foot box. And stand there and wait. I'm sure they have a sh-tload of those just lying around. I told her, listen, just refund me. Give me my money back and I'll deal with the thing being in sh-t condition, and somehow I'll get keys for it. She said she couldn't do that, and instead, that she was going to have FedEx freight come get it because they "didn't need the box" to ship it back. F-cking retarded. There are a bunch of shelves that were stuffed into the box, too, so that is going to require a SECOND box. Apparently they're going to refund me back in 5 days starting yesterday. And the refund will stay as long as they get this one back. Yeahhh. What a god damn mess. I have a smaller 8 gun Stack-On that was decent, but it's not great. It's rattly and didn't quite assemble like it should have. I'm pissed. Yeah, I'm ranting. Blow me.

I frankly do not trust either UPS or FedEx to deliver any bulk items, anything that requires a hand truck being they will manhandle, roll, drop, etc to avoid using their hand truck. If possible I get them shipped to the store so I can refuse / "return" on the spot if there are any issues. Thus obviously wouldn't work if you cannot trasport or are not near their brick and mortar location though

I never have any problems with UPS, and I buy and ship a lot of stuff. FedEx... FedE left a case of vodka in the common area of my condo building without a signature. Anyhow, this whole situation is pretty screwed up. I'm going to call them later today and say "I've spoken with several others who bought this and theirs were F'ed up too". They should really just outright refund me and call it a day.

Mine came damaged also, but my keys were taped to the top of the safe, I called about my damage and they gave me $25 refunded back, the safe s cheap even for a security cabinet, my homak security cabinet was same price same size and is twice the thickness of steel and just feels way way sturdier.

It's cool they gave you a partial refund. We'll see how this works out for me. I mean, if they need to send FedEx Freight to pick this thing up, they're losing a ton of money. They should just refund me. I have the "key type" (on the yellow sticker) so I'm sure I could... eventually... get one, but what a hassle.

BS...it's a cabinet that will hold 9 long guns and that's tight. I have no other grief with it other than 14 guns is misleading. Why can't you just tell the simple truth? Many would still buy it but I know now you are just another chinese-american business venture that cares nothing about the truth and I'll never purchase from you again, you probably already know that though.

I have a stack on and it will hold the stated number of rifles if there are no scopes and they are just hunting rifles with no pistol grips (just like the picture, go figure). Not misleading at all to anyone with common sense. A Ford Fiesta allegedly seats 5....is that 5 adults who weigh 300 pounds each or 2 adults and a few kids? I have a 14 gun stack on and it fits maybe eight 'tactical' guns with mags at the ready for any unexpected visitors, depends highly on your use. Did they lie on the dimensions or are you just challenged?

My cabinet was obviously a prior return. Box was all tapped up with a missing side of package protection. It had about 5 good size door dings so I called Walmart and they arranged for a return / replacement and gave me 15% off for my troubles. I told them I would accept the one I had for 30% off, but instead they are sending a special freight to pack up (cardboard was out in the rain), return and then send me another 87 pound cabinet. Hilarious what they are spending to on shipping to save $20.
