Agree this looks to flimsy to be worth while.. I understand it's not meant to stand up to attack but I think I'd rather buy something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Paragon-7750-Wall-Lock-Safe/dp/B0040HS3QW

It costs almost 3 times as much but has more room and there is pictures of one guys safe who was attacked in a burglary and it seemed to hold up great.

My first thought for a safe like this would be a good place to store carry guns in rather than a big safe.. but the stack on looks like it would barely fit 1 let alone 2 or 3 different handguns.

Either way Im thinking a mirror on some rails would be a good way of hiding one.

Yea, I like your idea better. If you are going to do it, do it right. More room, more protection. I seen that guy whose safe they tried to burgle. The burglar must have been pretty stupid. If he had a saw he could have cut through both 2X4s and walked out with the safe. I have even cut through pine 2X4s using a claw hammer when knocking down walls. He must have spent some time seeing the damage he did!

This POS looks like it could be popped open with nothing more than a cheap Chinese flat head screwdriver. Not even worth the trouble to cut a hole in the wall and install it.

That is what I am thinking. You can hide stuff in a box in your home and it will be more secure from theft than this. They need a sign to go with it that says 'here's my good crap!' and have a small pry-bar next to it.

It isn't a safe and is only $30. I could 'unlock' a $80,000 car or a $1,000,000 house with a rock. If you mounted something like this behind hanging clothes or a picture, it doesn't have to be Pink Panther proof. Hell, you could put this in your utility room or garage and someone would probably ignore it completely. The purpose of an item like this is to keep things out of sight and discourage a casual thief or nosey child.

Not really sure what unlocking expensive items with a rock has to do with this...There are many places you can hide things in your home that don't require you to destroy your wall and won't cost you a dime. You could even cut a hole in the wall, finish it up with some shelves with wood you probably have in the garage, and screw a piece of sanded and painted plywood over the opening. Especially since you were going to put it behind hanging clothes or a picture in the first place. It would give someone more trouble to get into than this, and probably would be overlooked by a burglar. Any burglar that sees this WILL be opening it up.

Actually most burglaries are 'smash and grab' so anything remotely time consuming is ignored. You can also make a shotgun out of things purchased at Home Depot but you opted for a prefab Mossberg 930. Where was your handyman spirit then?

BTW, not surprising the rock analogy went over your head....

'Actually most burglaries are 'smash and grab' so anything remotely time consuming is ignored.'

So why even bother buying this item and destroying you wall when you can just place your valuables in box and place it under some clothes in your closet???

You can also make a pipe that will fire a 12 ga shell out of things purchased at Home Depot.
Correct. As you can make a 'safe' from Home Depot. But the 'safe' won't blow up in you face ;) , and will do the exact same job as this cheap cabinet...with the added bonus on letting you design the dimensions more to your liking. And your medical bills will probably surpass the $373 you saved by making a substandard, and probably illegal weapon. Not only that, but if you can make a weapon that performs like a 930 in Home Depot, you should open your own company.

And you could cut your finger off while making your magic shelves.....which probably would result in medical bills as well.

You do understand that cutting a hole in a wall to install this cabinet is required, right? That just makes you point moot. As well as the fact that if you can't build a simple shelf-like structure, you probably shouldn't be cutting holes in walls that would possibly have wiring and water pipes behind the facing. I take it that you are not much of a carpenter if you think that basic woodworking , usually taught in High school is 'magic'...WOW! Don't ever open the hood of you car up...not without a vicar, preacher, or spirit healer capable performing a spiritual revocation of those Satanic demons...Jesus...

I'm done. I love how people like you take one subject and somehow turn into woodworking and think you are proving a point you cannot even verbalize.

BTW, I think the reason you don’t like this product is the walls of your single-wide are too shallow to accommodate this. Your guns would be sticking out on to your patio ;)

And you really shouldn't degrade people who have worse living conditions than yourself. I'm sure there are far BETTER people than yourself living in a 'single wide'. Do you also talk bad about the homeless? XD

Usually people who have no more fuel for their argument they are losing tend to degrade the poster or the posters family. And I see this is where you are going. What is next? My wife or mother? Or will you hint on my sexuality? Better luck on your next argument, Chief. XD

Actually I was going along with an insult someone else started against you in another thread that you replied to 19 times but apparently your attention span only lasts one conversation at a time. I think they also mentioned a recliner and fox news which made you sad :(

Once you started talking about my woodworking skills I knew it was pointless to keep discussing things as you had not had an argument in the last 3 or 4 prior posts and it was only going to keep going down hill from there.

BTW, I never said living in a trailer was bad.....you did. You even suggested that living in a trailer was almost as bad as being homeless. And I am the bad guy?

P.S. Once you build you shelf that is so much better than this product why don't you post a photo? Until then all you have are empty words.

Since you said you were done, I'm not even going to read your reply. So whatever is still irritating you will fall upon deaf ears. Maybe it will interest someone else. You got my message, that's what counts to me...
