For $500. It’s probably ok to keep kids out of it, but real safes start around $2,500 - when buying a safe there are many factors involved if you want a true safe with at least 1/4” steel plate, fire seal, weight, what’s sandwiched between walls, locking mechanism ect . Check out You Tube Whip - -Wish ya all the best.

Since I was unable to jump on any of the other recent safe deals, is this a good safe for the price? I do not need it but eventually sooner than later I will need a bigger one.. please anyone that knows things about gun safes do chime in.

Get the Cannon 72 gun safe from Cosco for $700. it's huge, you could lock your children in it if they need a time out and keep around 40 guns in there. But don't let your kids play with the guns of course.
