The XD® Mod.2® 5″ Tactical Model packs 16 rounds of 9MM ammo in each of its two included stainless steel magazines. While it’s a double stack design, it’s not too thick to carry like so many of our competitors’ models. Measuring just 1.2 inches wide, it is barely wider than single stack pistols with far lower capacity.
A pistol with a healthy sight radius is easier to shoot under stress, and that’s why we’ve chosen to fit the Mod.2® Tactical Model with a full five-inch hammer forged carbon steel barrel. It’s treated with Melonite® to stand up to moisture, sweat, and other undesirable conditions over the long haul.
The slide takes most of the day to day wear and tear, so we’ve made sure to construct that from Melonite®-treated carbon steel too. While we always recommend properly caring for your handgun, the Mod.2® Tactical isn’t one that will require babying. This combat-ready gun is designed to be used, not left in the safe.
Fast and accurate shooting requires control, so we’ve included all of the Mod.2® enhancements. Springfield High Hand™ grip near the beavertail and below the trigger guard allow you to put support close to the bore line to minimize muzzle flip. The new GripZone® contours and texturing are specifically designed to provide maximum purchase at specific points where your hands and fingers require the most contact. Three different textures provide the friction needed without painful overkill.

traditional rifling. no reason you can’t shoot lead. i just tested the 4” model. using 10 meter air rifle targets set at 5 meters (2-hand no rest, ordinary ammo) 1st magazine had only 1 shot off the black, though that one may have counted had it been a more clearly-scored wadcutter. long takeup and crisp though heavyish single action break at the end. plenty of kits for that. easy and ambi control. i’m mostly not ordering because i’d like a longer trigger reach. didn’t get a chance to do any faster fire so can’t really evaluate muzzle flip.
borrowed an old mod1 in a class a couple years ago and was bloody in 4 places halfway through my 400 rounds. Only shot 2 magazines of the mod2 due to time, but it seems much improved.
These guns can shoot lead bullets? What type of rifling?

Would be delivered today but my ffl is closed today 4/16/18. This was my first time ordering a firearm online and I'd have to say it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The XD Sub Compacts Mod 2 are really affordable now, research them now and see.
Try searching for the XD Sub Compact versión in the same caliber as your tactical, they will be able to share the same mags plus Springfield Armory is offering now 3 free mags to those that will buy any concealed carry gun now

I really like all my XD collectibles, it all started with the XD Sub Compact 9mm (older version), then different sizes and calibers and Mod 2 versions.
This is the price all plastic guns in today’s market should sell for, and I must say that this XD Mod.2 Tactical in 9mm is a really nice gun, but at this price, it’s a fantastic Gun. Buy one before they’re gone.
