Description

LIMITED TIME SPECIAL!

The Saint is the ideal refinement of the time-tested AR-15 design and represents everything that a defensive carbine should be. It features extra-tough, forged aircraft-grade 7075 T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers joined using the Accu-Tite system and Type III hard coat anodized. A mid-length gas system paired with a heavy tungsten buffer, the Saint also has an M16 bolt carrier group machined from Carpenter 158 steel, shot peened and magnetic particle inspected. The 16" Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel is treated with Melonite and has a 1:8" twist rate for complete ammunition flexibility. The micro-polished trigger components are treated with Nickel Boron resulting in the feel of a competition trigger with the appropriate mil-spec pull weight for a defensive rifle. The Saint is optic-ready out of the box with a flat-top receiver topped with Springfield Armory's low profile flip-up dual aperture rear sight with 1/2 MOA windage adjustment capability, and an A2-style gas block post front sight. The exclusive Bravo PKMT handguard has an ultra modern two-piece slim contour design with heat shield and keymod attachment points. The Bravo 6-position buttstock is rattle-free with positive cheek weld areas, a rubber butt plate for traction, and one fixed and two QD sling attachment points. It is complemented by a Bravo Mod 3 pistol grip designed to improve defensive performance. This model includes 5 30-round magazines and a rifle bag.

I had a chance to look at one of these at my local academy. The fit from the upper to the lower receiver had a shit load of play in it. I’m not a expert with the AR’s but seems this would be over process at 799. More a 399 price range AR.

Thanks for trying to screw the gunowners and FFLs in IL even worse than our own Soviet politicians in Madigan and Cullerton's Politburo do, Springfield.

I lived on an extremely nice piece of land near San Diego. Got sick of their gun laws. Moved to a ranch in S. Missouri. Now I can walk outside and shoot as much as I want without restriction on guns, magazine capacity, or ammo type.

Quit crying and actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

This site is for buying guns and discussing gun deals. If you want to cry Mike, I suggest going to a Liberal site. And they would also agree with Tinkerbells like yourself on closing down gun companies. You guys would get along pretty good.

Vent gas, sounds like fun. Clear out. Something stinks

You might want to read up on how an AR works before posting misinformation. Direct impingement vents gas into the bolt.

Anyone interested in purchasing these rifles should do some digging into online reviews. I have read numerous reports on various forums of these failing out of the box. There is even a report of a rifle sent back to Springfield, that was then shipped back to the customer with a bullet lodged in the barrel.

Mine has worked flawlessly from round one. The furniture is top notch and this is a great price.

Do you really want a handguard that vents hot gasses directly in your line of sight?

I was looking at photos of this rifle on the Springfield website http://www.defendyourlegacy.com/saint and if you scroll to the third picture from the bottom you will notice the horizontal alignment between the upper and lower receiver is horrendous! I'm wondering if it is possibly a pre-production rifle?

$50 cheaper than KGC

Looks like they have upgraded nickle plated trigger, handguard, grip, stock, buffer tube/spring,and some sort of coating on internals which I didn't see any specifics on. Looks like they are also guaranteeing it's somewhat accuracy. I didn't look at details there either. If those items are worth about $250 it's worth a shoot I guess... I actually kinda like it but have to many just like it...

Considering these became available for purchase literally 18 hours ago, no... no one has any experience with them whatsoever.
