The grip safety has never really been an issue in my experience with the XDs. It’s in a spot that you’ll be gripping anyway when firing. I’ll take an XD over a Glock any day of the week.
The price must’ve just increased. I ordered mine last week for $399. It arrives tomorrow :)
Have the XD45 5", stainless/black first version of this. Used to have a Block 21. XD is better.

Look for a Sar K2 45 CZ Clone/ Sig-ish look 1911 grip angle all steel
That gun is all business. The pretty ones usually don’t send 13+1 rounds of .45 acp down the pipe all at once. You want pretty? Go buy a Lady Smith or a fancy little Kimber.
