Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec Parkerized .45 ACP Semi-automatic Handgun.
102 years and untold billions of rounds of .45 ACP after its introduction, American shooters, law enforcement and elite military personnel the world over still rely on the immortal 1911 to get the job done. Whether you're a first-time 1911 owner or a discerning collector, Springfield is the right choice.

- Integral Locking System (I.L.S.) replaces the mainspring housing of the handgun and prevents the hammer from moving by locking the mainspring cap, rendering the gun inoperable

I own this firearm and I must say it is in my opinion an excellent buy. I wanted a Colt 01991Model but the dealer I was at did not have in stock so I traded my S&W MP45 for this model Springfield. Best trade I made even walked away with cash in my pocket. So if your looking for 1911 give this serious consideration. I also did put my name for the Colt when it comes back in stock.
