102 years and untold billions of rounds of .45ACP after its introduction, American shooters, law enforcement and elite military units the world over still rely on the immortal 1911 to get the job done. In the mid 1980s, the US military began the process of retiring their old warhorse. In 1985, Springfield Armory in Geneseo, Illinois first offered newly manufactured 1911s to the gun buying public. The next 28 years firmly established Springfield Armory as the leading manufacturer of 1911s, and the standard by which all other 1911s are judged today.

O'course I never heard such nonsense. To the guy wishing for a 1911 in 9mm, do you wish the new mid-engine Vette had a Volkswagen engine or the new Walmart didn't sell pistol ammunition? It is that kind of panty-waste, pinko nonsense that is wrong with America. When you measure calibers in 1911, you ought to use inches, not some system of measurement for people whose country didn't go to the moon. Say .35 Caliber Cheesedick, if you must.

It’s hard to believe there are people so mad at the world that they behave like this.

I'm not angry, but I do believe in satire and .45 caliber 1911s. I'm sorry I insulted your favorite caliber. Maybe you'll get over it someday.
