With the introduction of their M2.0 line of polymer framed, striker fired pistols, Smith & Wesson addressed the one big complaint that gun buyers had about the M&P line: the trigger. As we’ve mentioned in previous reviews of both the full-size and compact

Great price on a great little gun. I’d recommend getting a second extended mag and put away the flush mount if you have normal size man hands. No experience with Guns.com though. Website showed $280.99.

Price as fixed, there was a slight error.

Ok I FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET THE PRICE TO $298
In the price match request, after creating an account you put the price of $298 in, then when it asks who we matching, type in "gundeals.com". Check your cart and it will show the $298 price. You must check your cart, as the price still says $339 until you see your in cart price. The biggest issue I see is the expensive shipping of $30, basically after reducing price down to $298, it like regular price with free shipping...creative marketing.

How do you get $298? Doesn't show that on the site?

Price is $339, even if you can price match down to $298, shipping adds $30. No deal here.

CC is referring to credit card fees. Most retailers have the fee already included in the price. Some like to give you the option to pay with cash or check for usually a 3% discount. That's why at my Texas gun shows firearms always have two prices when you purchase from a vendor. CC & cash option.

What does "no cc fees" mean?

Mine has been flawless and this is a fair deal

I'm debating on this or the xds

You don't have to use the safety. In sure if you leave it off. It would work Just fine. Plus I don't think it sticks out far enough to snag anywhere causing the gun to go on safe.

I don't mind the grip safety , I have a 1911 and the xd45. I like the shield but am dreading a bad trigger.

It's hard to go wrong with either. Only major difference is the beaver tail safety on the XDS. Get your hands on them and shoot them if possible. XDS has a rail, and there are several trigger guard lasers for the shield. If the trigger is a problem in the Shield, check out the Apex carry kit, it is a huge improvement.

Too bad it's the one with the safety.

Consistently $360-370, this is a terrible price

Terrible price, this is the exact opposite of a deal.

I agree. Don't know why the thumbs down. This price is around $50+ too much. Then there is still the shipping charge to add to that.

Shipping was about $11.50 to Colorado, so this puts this (currently) at around $395 OTD for me. Not a bad deal I suppose.

Decent price on a great EDC gun. The Shield is my favorite for concealment. Put it in the IWB Kydex holster from PJ Holster and forget it is there unless needed. These guns are accurate and feed about any ammo you want to shoot through them. Solid deal. Be sure to check the dates on the previous posts as the 10/28/13 price has dropped.

OK price but if you're in KY stop over at C and C Firearms in Brownsville and pick up a brand new Shield (40 or 9mm) for $379.99. As long as you pay $429.99 you can rest assured online dealers will continue to charge that much.

Only 429 miles away! MSRP is $450 on this gun and it's been hard to find.

Be sure to check all the LGS in your area. Shields seem to be getting more plentiful lately. They can be found in the $379. price range if you have time to wait. I was fortunate to be able to purchase from Bud's Police Supply for $335.00. Their requirements for credentials are not that tight so check it out.

How recent were you able to? I've had a site alarm setup for whenever they come back in stock and have yet to receive any notice of one in stock for 9mm in months.
