Yep, you can call smith and Wesson and they will send you a piece of plastic to fill the void of the safety for free when you remove it.
Ever hear a spec op or seal complain about a trigger, when you are shooting for real, all of the triggers kind of feel the same. It's the reliability of the gun you need to be concerned with, triggers can always be fixed with a few springs, or a connector. it should not be that important when factoring in all the rest, like how the gun shoots and if it works every time, kind of like a Glock.
if I want a great trigger for the range, I would defer to a 1911, you are never going to get that feel in a polymer gun.
Shot one of these at my local range and wasn't impressed. The trigger is garbage and it feels very cheap. I'll stick with my sig's. I really wanted to like this gun.
They can be easily removed. There are YouTube videos.
There have been a lot of good buys and I've taken advantage of rebates from Bushnell and Walther. My experience with them has been fine but my experience with S&W has not been good. Electronically submitted my rebate 1.5 months ago and the rebate center can't find it. I even called them and talked to a real person and she couldn't find it either. Too much drama with S&W. Much less so with Walther and Bushnell.
I want a M2.0 COMPACT in 9mm sooooooo bad.
That's the only pistol on my wishlist, but I'd prefer a 2.0 version, and in FDE while they're at it!
Too bad they will not change out the magazines for 10-rounders for us ban-staters.
Otherwise I would want one without the safety and with the PRO C.O.R.E cutouts.

*sorry, app freaked out. Wish there was either an easy way to delete comments or a way to not post a million at once.
Really wish they made a 5 inch no safety in black. Not really interested in FDE, soon I hope
Excellent handgun excellent accuracy and I love the trigger so much improvement from the previous model ! I don't know why people still having problem with the trigger ! I was going to swap it with apex trigger but after shooting 150 rounds this thing is a beast ! Trigger is so smooth and light !
Agreed, the PPQ is another league. I really want to like the M&P but the triggers are crap.
Went to buy this gun but after playing with the trigger bought the PPQ match 5. They said the redid the trigger but it still sucks. S&W fire all the performance center their triggers suck.
For the extra $100+ that the Q5 cost, you could have a much nicer trigger dropped in. So apples to oranges. But at least holsters and all that already exist for the M&P.
Even the trigger in the standard M&P isn't that bad, but for those who don't like it, swap in a Apex sear for $35 for a ton of improvement. Apex fails to mention you don't need their whole trigger kit. Mostly just the sear.
Can you remove the safety on these?
