it used to be the go to model since ar-22 options were limited. but with the tippmann brand being available and far far far far superios to this. these should go away forever.
Super dangerous firearm.. stock mag aftermarket 35 rd mag it doesn’t make a difference this gun is going to have so many issues right out the box and I’ve used all kinds of ammo.. it’s usually around the second mag when it starts crapping but what a pos
Super dangerous? A firearm? Inconceivable... maybe santa can bring you a red rider BB gun next year
So you claim reliability problems....so where is the "super dangerous" part?
BTW, these have always been considered a super well made 22LR so you might have a dud.
What was the pre-rona pricing on one of these?
About $300. I've had 4 of them, the newer model ones like this not the older quad-rail, and all 4 had out of battery discharge issues. Just too dangerous to keep around for me. If it were an issue where this could happen after thousands of rounds and no cleaning -- maybe I'd see it differently -- but all 4 did it and all 4 would do it within a couple mags. Tried a few different types of ammo -- seemed to be the dirtier burning rounds did it faster but they'd all start failing one way or another within a few mags and eventually you'd end up with an out of battery discharge.
Maybe they've fixed it by now, I dunno, I do know they're banned at some competitions/ranges.
I've also heard quite a few guys swear theirs are perfect... all I can do is offer my experience from a sample of 4 and recommend researching further before buying.
The purpose of the guns for me was for kids to plink with -- failures on plinkers is no problem but out of battery discharges are not, last thing I need is a kid blinded or worse. Was personally pretty displeased with S&W just looking the other way at the whole ordeal.
I bought one a couple weeks ago, it’s pretty reliable and S&W actually fixed the out of battery firing problem, mine has had no such issues
Add your comment here... would never purchase this p.o.s. Again
Exactly! Same issues, brand new as well.. stove pipes drop mag and like 3 rounds fall. Got to the point where I was counting the casings being ejected
How is it superior, genuinely curious since I love my M&P and have had it for over 10 years? Would love to see if I should add the tippman to the collection.
