If you are looking for a small pistol with all the features of a full size model, then the Smith & Wesson M&P .45 ACP Shield 2.0 Performance Center is the sub compact pistol for you. The most easily identifiable change made to the S&W Shield is the optic ready slide that comes with a 4 MOA mini red dot sight already installed. Only adding height to the rear of the slide, this low profile red dot does not affect concealability, so you can carry this slim handgun IWB and still be comfortable. Also included are high visibility fiber optic back up sights that can help you pick up the red dot faster and can still be used if the red dot runs out of batteries or fails for some reason. A carry over from the standard 2.0, the Performance Center comes with forward slide serrations however, it features a longer 4” barrel for better accuracy potential. While there is a model with ported barrel and slide, this version does not. The advantage of a ported barrel is reduced muzzle flip at the cost of potential reliability issues. With a closed slide and barrel it decreases the chance of dirt and debris getting into the action. The M&P 45 Shield 2.0 Performance Center is built for carry, without a huge sacrifice in firepower. With the option for an 7+1 capacity, this is a great .45 ACP handgun to have at your side.
