The M&P15 rifle line is Smith & Wesson's version of the popular semi-automatic AR-15 rifle. These rugged, lightweight rifles are built to perform flawlessly under varied conditions. As tough as it is effective, the M&P15 comes standard with a chrome-lined 16-inch barrel, bolt carrier and gas key. Available on select models, the six-position adjustable stock easily accommodates various shooting positions and user build.

The optics ready has chrome lined bore and chamber. Has ejection port cover and a gas block.
Sorry to say, but Optics Ready is like buying a car without 4 tires... it's Tires Ready! Can the manufacturers please put sights back on weapons, so that they will shoot straight right out of the box!

This is the typical price we're seeing at local gun shops here in CO. At least Buds is free shipping and we don't have to pay tax. If you have a friend who's an FFL you're golden.

That model listed here, the OR, was around $1000 before the mess started.This has never been a $700 rifle.
