I've heard that the mag that comes with it sucks. Utilizing pmags seems to do the trick.
I would jump on this but I'm patiently waiting on an LEO dealer to get one in stock.
I used the original mag that came with it and a DPMS and they both produced the same results. If the mag is the issue then S&W should include a Pmag with their product. It would be cheaper then everyone sending their M&P 10's back. I got mine for $999 through a LEO dealer so the price was great but product not so in this case.
S&W is going to make it right and your bitching about a box? Everybody should avoid a company that actually honors their warranty and makes you shell out 5 dollars for a box.
I guess I expect better from a company like S&W and sorry, it is their F-UP and they should be responsible for the $10.80 Fed-Ex box NOT me. In addition, a Leupold scope I purchased for the S&W was defective (whole windage assembly unscrewed) they provided everything I needed to ship it back, followed up with an E-mail on the repair cycle, apologized and is sending it back unlike S&W who did NOT notify me at all. I only knew it was coming back today because of a recorded call from Fed-Ex. This is the ONLY firearm I've ever purchased that came defective! Take it for what it's worth.
I'd think twice before ever purchasing a Smith and Wesson product again. Bought a brand new M&P 10 and took it to the range and nothing but Failure to feeds (FTF) ~ 4-5 in every 10 shots with quality ammo. Had to send it back and pay for a box because they wouldn't send one. Suppose to be back here tomorrow but too darn cold to go to the range so won't know for a bit.
