gunprime seems shady to me.
for ex. 10 bux shipping for this item. but goto their sale section and add any handgun and the shipping jumps to 35 bux.
making up for the sales by charging extra shipping. id stay away from a shady place like this.

Looks like their answer to the Beretta 92 series.

Rotating safety on the slide and all.

It's more of a 1911. The slide safety is some crap the gvt wanted on the earlier guns, and Smith kept it. Smith 39 pretty much the 5906 in single stack had a slide safety/decocker back in 1956 the 92 came in 72.... And the gvt wanted a slide safety again.

I wish smith was still doing decocker only modifications on this gun. They are very reliable guns.

I really want one but the reviews, even on their own website, are not very good. I've noticed any site that has a hand select fee rather, than ranking and sold by condition, for used guns is selling stuff in piss poor condition.

That is very true, just see Classic Firearms.

These are not the first choice for CC in 2019, but one in excellent condition makes a superb shooter and collectible. These should go way up in value over time.

They seem to be going down in price. I pd $400 for one and cleaned it up nice. Sold it to a buddy for $450 with to regrets. I'd rather have a Security-9.

If I bought one of these in excellent or "good" condition and I received the one in the top right corner....with the broken grip right in the spot that holds the mainspring in I would be pizzed! If the grip is broken in that spot the gun will not work. These grips are not the easiest or cheapest to come by these days.

Awesome gun but they have a wide range of condition. I have a few and been through a bunch. Some are really nice, others totally worn out, not even serviceable. Buying without inspection is always a gamble. I got junk shipped to me ( not by this dealer) and stopped buying without inspection. I picked up a few sweet ones after picking through some locally and getting the best of the bunch. Heavy guns, not great concealed carry, but very accurate, dependable and smooth action. Parts are very available.

I used to have a 5904. I think it's the same pistol except it had an aluminum frame. Also a 1006 and 645 which all shot/shoot great.

This posting heading says EXCELLENT condition but in the ad it says GOOD condition. There's a difference. Need to be clear!

Almost forgot gunprime.com shipped faster than a greasy pig on a slip and slide.

Good, but far from excellent, but a little bit better than fair. A bit of rust surface scratches an beat up grips are on mine. If the grip was in better shape I would say excellent. It's good though fair price and fast shipping. The bore is spotless, but the trigger is broken in.
