The Model 4006 is one of Smith & Wesson's 3rd generation of semi-automatic pistols. Designed with input from the famed gunsmith Wayne Novak, the pistol features Novak-style 3-dot sights along with a single-piece grip and is chambered in .40 S&W. This specifically is a 4006 TSW (Tactical Smith & Wesson) which features an accessory rail. It also features a magazine disconnect safety. Some of the grips are damaged from years of heavy use on the force, along with other wear marks on the slide & frame. 1 magazine included. Any firearm that can stand up to daily wear and tear on the force is a trustworthy addition to your collection, whether you plan to use it for personal protection or as a range gun. Law enforcement trade-ins are usually fired less than other used firearms. They have wear from daily duty use, but most LEO only shoot their firearms when qualifying at the range. So, despite mild cosmetic damage from holsters and handling, the barrels and internal components are usually in great condition. Our police trade-ins are a unique opportunity to own a dependable, high-quality firearm at a great price! Law enforcement trade-in's vary in condition. Some will have armory marks, others retain their police department crests, and almost all of them show signs of use (holster wear, nicks, dings, etc.). The condition will not be the same from one to the next, but they all fall within the same category of condition.
