This is better than the typical pre-Parkland price.

$459.00 now so not a good deal.

My 'Sport 1" was considered a bargain at $500 'back then',,,
It's been a good example of 'what it is' (Basic / Dependable AR by S & W)
Can only assume the Sport 2 would be similar in those regards.
.
My AR's don't see much use anymore as I've moved on to other types of shooting / firearms, but, if you are in the market for something like this, $430 shipped sure seems like a pretty darn good price for this right now!

We still have 3 years+ before there is any chance of these going up in price...unless Civil war breaks out. Then there will be a lot less Liberals to bitch about these types of weapons. So the price will still be cheap! I have way too many AR's and don't need another. But that's what we all say right before getting a good deal on another. We have a huge shooting range. That is about the only thing we have to do where I am at. We buy ammo by the case.

I ended up buying the Ruger 556 because I got impatient. Great gun, put maybe 60 rounds through but heard it's tough to break down because it's so tight. Need to get a punch set for it. My m4 when I was in the Marine Corps had been worn in so well it never had any breakdown issues. Hoping this will eventually be the same.

Most AR lowers are going to be tight before you take them on and off a few hundred times. They'll break in. Rah.

I paid $620 for mine pre election panic. These keep dropping. I had a trigger set to grab another at $435 but the prices keep dropping weekly I am going to wait for $399 now. Great gun, great deal here. Lets see where it goes.

If you have one already, build your second. Right now I promise you, you can build a nice AR for...400 easily, and that includes buying all the tools you need. If you already own the tools, then 320 or 330 all day long.

I do have the tools but I feel that a $400 Smith and Wesson will be worth more in later years than something that was assembled from closeouts. Even people that hate guns know the S&W name and that will help keep its value and gain some too.

Great minds think alike! I wanted to buy one over 6 months ago, but I've been holding off for the exact same reason. I think we may be approaching rock-bottom pricing though, so I'll give it another week or two before I start snatching up deals.
