Thumb safety on this gun really doesn't matter. It's virtually impossible to engage it by accident.
Thumb safety is critical. I wished my glock had one because while taking my holster out of front of my pants it discharged. Went right thru my leg without hitting femoral artery. I was extremely lucky and never want to repeat that ordeal. Needless to say if it doesn't have a safety, I don't keep one in the chamber. Just my two cents, hope it helps someone.
