Got one as my first firearm a little over a year ago. Hated it at first. The grip didn't fit my small hands and interfered with the hammer. Trigger pull was heavy and notchy. It's hefty for it's size. My first few rounds of 357 mag caused the rear sight screw to fall out.
I love the darn thing now. I replaced the grips with cheap ones that fit my hands better. It's a J-frame, there's plenty to choose from. Trigger smoothed out beautifully after 2000 rounds and countless dry fires. The barrel gives you a lovely sight radius when compared with a snubby. The heft makes shooting 357s manageable if exhilarating. It's comforting if not comfortable.
I'm 5'9" and 140lbs soaking wet. I carry mine concealed as my daily carry. I'm best a novice and that's just my 2 cents. Sorry for the length. Hope it helps.
