Looks like 802traders LLC/Sirearms is no longer in business. Their FFL expired 04/01/2018; https://www.ffldealernetwork.com/lyndonville/north-atlantic/802traders-llc... - they were acquired by St Michael’s Defense; https://vermontbiz.com/news/2019/october/05/st-michael%E2%80%99s-defense-acquires-sirearms... - https://www.stmichaelsdefense.com/... - St Michael’s Defense is also known as SMD Outdoors; https://www.facebook.com/StMichaelsDefense/...
and I'm not surprised that they went out of business..... - www.facebook.com/shotgunwhittle/posts/10216197316586943...
All these questions about legality..... I recommend to just call, email, write the ATF they will answer according!!! With a new “opinion.” Just read the 3rd 4th opinion letter I cant remember which one this is, but anyways read the letter how it is written.. you all do speak American right?
Check out GB 727970010 for the full size with a hammer forged bolt NOT a DDI.
I'm assuming it has a non functional buffer tube on there for the shockwave? Can the tube be removed so you can install a folding adapter so you can just fold the brace to get it out of the way?
probably not legally, since to retain it's legal status as a non-NFA "firearm", it has to be more than 26" long overall.
the measurement is done with the firearm 'un-folded'. A folded brace does not constitute a modification of length.
How long not counting the brace? I assume it has a properly hardened bolt not like the look alike that's out of business, right?
Put a SILENCER on on this things, and you have, "No Country for Old People".
Interesting to read the pantywaist comment section on here. Idiots!
802Trader, I know of the letter pertaining to shouldering pistols, but a PGO is not a pistol, right?
So do they fall in the same category?
I emailed Marty owner of shockwave brace back in the summer and asked him the same thing. He said there waiting on the Q and A publication from the ATF on the matter.
If you have a link on specifically PGO's legally being shouldered please post a link. Just trying to be a LAW ABIDING CITIZEN! Thanks!
Bottom line is you are no longer "redesigning" the firearm by shouldering it. Pistol, PGO, whatever...
So 802Trader, I know a PGO can legally have a shorter barrel because it's not legally a shotgun SINCE it didn't have a stock on it therefore couldn't be shouldered, BUT with the shockwave brace can you legally shoulder it without somehow turning it into a short barrel shot gun!??
It's kinda like if you enter the country illegally you can't work at McDonalds but you can be first lady. It is not the outcome but the route you took to get there ;)
Yes, per an ATF letter answering this question on this particular question by SB tactical
Definitely watching this one. Looking for a short mag fed 12 guage. This or a Mossberg
Lifetime Warranty? I saw one of the 870 non-NFA in person and it literally has a sawed off barrel that was touched up with a bluing pen. The front sight had been moved and the tip of the sight extended into the barrel about 1/8 of an inch. When the fellow who owned it called, he was just blown off. So good luck with that. I personally hope they keep making these badass designs, just hope they figure out the customer service side.
Wonder how long until these are going to be sold from the manufacturer as a PGO?
Is the barrel length a secret? I don't see it listed anywhere. Kind of a major selling point with this, so why not put the length in the description?
anybody seen a good deal on a remington 1100 or 11-87? i'm looking and thought this would be a good place to ask. any help greatly appreciated!!
Goddamnit i just bought one for 1150 and it goes in sale before i even receive it, can you hook a customer up with a rebate or some free mags lol
Interesting design 802. How close are you on the parts count for 922r for those with sbs intent?
it's an american receiver and that counts for a lot. Swap out pistol grip and with american stock you should be good.
And the price keeps falling, I've got a shockwave blade on a little ar pistol that I built and it's not very comfortable to shoulder. I would never put that on a 12 gauge. As far as ergonomics this looks really uncomfortable to shoot.
First your price is warranted..liability is huge..stick to your guns..will probably be buying 2..if they are reliable..then carrying 4 mags and a drum on it your a god damn rolling thunder of firepower..that worth it ..im a combat vet and firearms instructor . Though i have to ask..cal legal?
Because being a combat vet and a firearms instructor is relevant here.... congrats bro. Join the club. Nobody cares. Probably a POG anyways...
I think it's badass. Idk about a shockwave on a 12gauge tho. My shoulder would probably be sore for days lol
I have to give you guys credit. You come up with some very creative shotguns. I see where Remington and others copied your PGO 870's. Must be those long winters.
I could understand the price if built using Saiga parts but it's not. You can buy an entire DDI for <$450. Strip the receiver, modify some parts for shorter barrel, make PGO receiver, assemble, and test fire. Retry at $800 and you might get some more buyers. Minimum engineering, labor, materials, machining involved here.
It's a milled receiver - I dare you to try and do what you said for the price and have it come out legal.
Yes you can get the DDI for $450 to $500, but you will end with a $900 to $1,000 doing all yourself and no warranty, with this offer you get reliability and warranty. For a few extra $$
On the other hand, I really like the product. Been slowly drawing in CAD a PGO receiver for my Saiga.
Really like how this looks. Wish the price wasn't so high.
This is a DDI 12 With a shockwave brace added.
How is this 1100 dollars again?
DDI is out of business. 802 Traders make quality stuff which cost money to make & buy. DDI was junk.
Buy and ship parts kits . Mill receiver in USA exactly to spec. Engrave + log. Build weapon (rivet together, cut - thread barrel - assemble - Test) - Cerakote to customer's color - Pay Labor and Overhead. Warranty for Life - Any other questions?
We have actually milled our own receivers here in Vermont which is how they are able to be PGO, we then port gas block and do Trigger jobs, we then test all weapons before they leave our facility.
$1150???
I'd rather buy that POS Chinese SAS semi-auto than this abortion.
Shooting a 12 gauge with a shockwave brace = ouch.
Wow, this is one hideous gun, prolly the ugliest shotgun I've seen in a while.
Almost looks like it should say "HASBRO" on the side and have one of them funny orange things at the end of the barrel,,
I bought the milled receiver do you sale the saiga parts kits?
