Been a member since 2013. Never a problem getting my order. I love piling up $600-$700 orders and splitting the payment over 4 months. This is my primary source for ammo.
In 2013 SPG filled every 'backorder' that I had in place from Dec 12. Several cases of 223, two cases of .308, several cases of 762x39 and two cases of wolf match target 22, all at pre-insanity prices, with none of the orders cancelled. Having a case of 223/556 arrive every few weeks over the course of those 9 months worked out just peachy (particularly when it was 32cpr XTac, or 28cpr Bronze when cases were going for 60cpr+ at the time from 'other' places).
No, I didn't shoot all of that myself, but my shooting friends were very happy to have affordable ammo during the 'crisis'. Heh, and still are today given some stuff is still hard to come by at a reasonable price.
I've been shopping with SPG for years and know that, on occasion, my orders will go into backlog (ammo in particular). As long as I know that going in, I have no issues.
I've placed about 40 ammo orders with them over the past 18 months or so and 2 went to backorder - orders where I ordered quite a few of the item and a few shipped, the rest went on backorder. If you order 1 unit of something (whether it's 1 box of 20 or one case of 1,000) if it is in stock when you order I'd say you've got a 98% chance of everything going smoothly. Where they get in trouble is when you order 50 units of something and they've got no live system to tell you they've only got 10 left in stock when you order like most places do. It's not perfect but given 5% cashback, buyer's club discounts, and coupon/gc offers making for really good prices, and the fact that they for the most part kept those really good prices through 2013, me and SG are just fine.

Would not buy from sportsmansguide if it was 50% off much less 5%. Buy from someone that will actually fill your order.
