@TAYAR77: Their cost is their cost. Being a businessman, it's not my place to disclose their costs.

@AMCARDON: I'm sure a lot of others are going to be receiving letters soon.

@EVERYONE: If your order gets cancelled, and the hearing protection act gets passed, you will be able to buy the suppressors for close to cost (still higher than the "deal." Things happen for a reason. Honestly, for $1,000, most of us should fill out our paperwork, buy some parts, rent a shopsmith's time and build our own. Heck, we can screw up 5-10 cans and waste about 6 hours shop time b4 we lose any money...

And I just got the email cancelling my order (like I'm sure everybody else got), after I've talked to multiple people that "guaranteed" that my order would be fulfilled. If they would have been honest I would be okay with this, but as it stands I think I'm done with Impact Guns.

I hear you. Ro your point above sounds like they are trying to do some right which is good. Out of curiosity what is cost? I'm guessing around $600? Maybe high 5's...

I saw this ad pretty early and ended passing even with the deal. I just can't wait a year for a Suppresor. To impatient. I'm hoping the hearing act or some form of it gets passed this year. If that happens there will be a made dash cleaning out everyone's inventory followed by prices coming down and technology getting better/faster. At least that's what I was told by an owner of a major firearm retailer. So I'm hoping that happens. Until than hopefully my old AAC can doesn't go out:)

I just got off the phone with them and was told they would do cost plus shipping. I passed on the offer but they did make a reasonable attempt to accommodate the situation.

The latest update is, they worked out a deal with the distributor and will be fulfilling all the orders. Because of the times involved with the form 3 process, delays are expected to be between 10-16 weeks before your dealer will receive the Hybrid. Was told an email will be going out tomorrow updating everyone with expected wait times and other useful info.
UPDATE: Guy on the phone fed me a bunch of sh*t. Just got an email saying they are canceling all the orders

No email from them other than my invoice which is in a "processing" status. I was told that there is an 8-10 week wait for inventory and that they will try to honor the price on a first come first serve basis. I haven't been charged for anything and for that price I'm willing to wait and see. My fingers are crossed for everyone.

I work in Ecommerce to:). In fact one of my clients is one of the largest wholesale gun engines on-line... We actually had an issues on our corporate site so I was on the other side dealing with the outcome. Put things in perspective for sure. I don't think they will be able to honor the $400. I bet their cost is $600 min... If there was 500 orders that's $100K... There is not a lot margin in firearms so losing $100K probably puts them outta biz...

Out of curiosity why do you think it's bait and switch? I don't know that they are getting anything out of this. In fact it's costing them serious man hours to deal with a bunch of pissed customers. Not to mention the black eye this gives them with clients like yourself. There is absolutely no benefit that I see out of doing this? I'm not trying to be an ass either. Just asking what you thoughts are on why it's "bait and switch". One of the posts actually says they will honor the price which would really shock me. When this happened to me at buds multiple times they took money out of my account, I also recieved confirmation on shipping. They were still able to cancel no problem. I was curious so asked for T's and C's. Apparently they are bullet proof as you agree to their agreement. Unfortunately we as consumers can not redline their contracts. Anyways I did not get my money back for 7 days. Heck I even spoke to the owner of buds. I found him on linked-in. He was nice but pretty much said we can do anything we want... I was pissed at the time but looking back at it I probably shouldn't have been. I wanted something for nothing. Happened again to me at 10dollargunclub. and they canceled order. Now I just. Not worth getting all worked up over. Just some food for thought. But I really do hope you guys get them. Nothing better than something for nothing;)

I called and they said they were waiting on inventory, that it would take up to 10 weeks, but that they would honor the price...

I called and was told they had an inventory error, only had a couple available at $400 + $200, that this was clearly noted in their ads and on their site (it was not) and that they would be happy to sell me one at $69X +$200.

I tried discussing the issue with them politely and professionally as I work in eCommerce and this stuff does happen (takes guts to sell in digital as Murphy's law will find everyone's mistakes). When they started talking out of both sides of their mouth, I pointed out the inconsistencies and they still kept pushing misinformation so I hung up.

I'm not going to file a suit or anything over an issue which is all too common in my field. I was just very frustrated at how the situation was handled. If they're willing to take my $400+$200 and honor the price, I'll be happy and content. They can reply to my thread here and we can work stuff out. No biggie.

I just don't like having people on a phone expect me to blindly believe the misinformation they're spitting out whether they are spewing it intentionally or not. In reality, there's no way that management could have kept everyone answering the phones current on information throughout shift changes and ensured every call about these suppressors was handled with the same language.

At the time, a simple we F'd Up would have been a better option than the double-talk I received on my initial call.

I've overseen retail databases with 70K SKUs and have rationalized those same databases down to around 18K SKUs to decrease overhead. Their terms and conditions state they make pricing mistakes and they decide how to deal with them (perfectly legal). They gave me a BS runaround about how they had limited availability and all sorts of crap on their ads and their site. They don't on their ads for, nor the page selling, the product in question. If you have the guts to open an Ecommerce store selling Class 3 NFA items (it takes some fortitude to sell anything online, much less Class 3 NFA), you need to have some redundancies on your inventory control and you should put your legal jargon on the ad and on the webpage for every product (not just a link to a page).

It's common practice to reference and link to your terms and conditions in every ad and on every consumer touch-point prior to conversion finalization. It provides a thin layer of legal protection and helps keep things above board with minimal effort. I'm not implying there was any intent to deceive on this companies behalf. I'm simply conveying what's common practice after having worked broadcast radio and Ecommerce for and with fortune 500 companies. I was a marketing/advertising/Ecommerce cog in a huge machine ( a piss-ant) but I was a cog who absorbed all he could. Now, the trending topic is website ADA compliance (apparently, lawyers have to eat too).

I figured. Remember mistakes happen especially when your managing thousands of skews. If it's to good to be true than there's typically an issue. Don't get excited about these things and think of it as a bonus if it goes through. There is no way they can honor or compensate hundreds of these orders. They would be looking at losing well over $30K... Good chunk of cash for an SMB. I thinks its admirable for them to honor the first 10. I've had this happen 3 seperate times with Buds.... They offered me a discounted price which was more than the "make an offer now" price on their website. Which I thought was hooky. If impact's support on this is bad than I would be annoyed. They did make a mistake and should at least own up to it, be transparent, apologize, and refund cash immediately. Hopefully they are handling this professionally, other than that Im not sure you should expect much.

I just called about my order as well. They only are honoring the price of this for The first ten callers. I think anyone who made the order should be compensated.

Yep, they're canceling them and not even being nice about it. Over 500 orders placed for two cans on-hand. Poor business management, poor customer service. Don't expect an email or anything, just don't hold your breath waiting for them. Here's hoping we don't hve to hear about Impact Guns anymore except "Out of Business".

Too bad the 200 dollar credit doesn't go toward the NFA tax.

I should have clarified my comment. I referred tonfirst process of getting fromdistributor to my dealer is usually 4-6 weeks then I'm in month number 9 for my silencer omega and month number 8 for a 22 surefire can I bought from kentuckey gun co. It's still worth the wait for the price.

hmmmmm, do I wait a year possibly longer if this is coming from distributor.... That's a long time...

0 votes
0 votes

Nope. Much longer than 4 weeks as I just went through it. If it's coming directly from them to your dealer its around 3 months easy. Plus once your dealer gets its another 9 so your looking at a year. Now if they are buying this from "wholesaler" that drop ships add another 4-8 week easy for them to get from disturbuter. I just went through same thing with a internally suppressed AR and than had issues with suppressor once my dealer finally got it. I ended up sending it back to manufacture and getting my Money back as I would have to go through same mess again for new one. They couldn't fix the one already in process. Nightmare. Only way to buy suppressors right now is through silencer shop/local. Even than your probably waiting 9 month to a year. I have given up on anymore silencers until the hearing act passes but that's going to be while as well. sucks!!!

The Form 3 from them to your dealer is only 30-35 days. The form 4 from your dealer to ATF for you is currently running nine months. This is a great deal for anyone. Buy today and you may have it as a very nice Christmas present!
