I like thefield of view on mine, but it EATS batteries, I cannot leave it in the safe with the batteries all positioned correctly, i have to flip one so it doesn't kill the batteries while its off.
In 3...2...1....insert : "This isn't as good as what my neighbor's older brother's dogwalker's cousin was issued in Operation Enduring Desert Storm."
It's "Operation Enduring Freedom"..............
I don't think it's this model that shuts down. I had the older model and it shuts down after every shot when the battery is low but it are through the batteries pretty quick so every couple of range visits you'd need be batteries or it'll shut down on you. They changed the battery in this one for that specific issue and they are using a high capacity battery now so you don't need to change it as often. Also their warranty is amazing, i bought my old model in 2015 told them that it kept shutting down, they told me to send it in and they sent me this new model.
Would like to give one a try but lots of mixed reviews about these shutting down?
I have this one and two of the Z Series models. This one is much better than the Z Series and I believe it will shut off automatically after a few minutes of non use. I have not had a problem with it draining batteries, as of yet. If you are looking for an inexpensive red/green dot sight, I think it is a pretty good deal; I paid $49 for mine a few months back.
