  • I think the Sig Romeo 5 is the best red dot on the market for $150 or less. It comes with every feature you could want and is tanky enough to take a beating and continue functioning. 50,000 hour maximum battery life, motac, clear glass, 2 moa dot, and standard mount compatibility with just about every aftermarket red dot mount on the market. I have put this on several different rifles, everything from shorty ARs in 5.56 and 7.62x39 to AR10s and it has held up excellently with no shift in zero even after dropping it twice from shoulder height. Most of the time that I have been running it I have put it on a UTG .500" 13-slot riser and it pairs very well making close range and out to 300 yards fast and intuitive. It has some competition from Vortex and Holosun but I think this one is the best overall dot for the money.

Hey this one is a little better for 89 dollars. Don't know how long it will last.

The MSR is a solid value red dot optic, but it lacks the shake awake feature the Romeo 5 has built in, which is a really nice feature if you are using it on a home defense or personal defense PCC or carbine.

This is the air soft version

Not according to the UPC, it's the same model sold at 40+ vendors as a regular firearm red dot. As far as being counterfeit (someone else mention this)
IDK but a well known guy on youtube that does reviews all the time on red dots, scopes, etc didn't say anything about thinking it was fake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDeY1VYU0bw...

Makes me think this is counterfeit

I haven't bought one yet, but here is a good video showing how to tell a counterfeit from fakebay against a real Romeo5. I will say I've ordered other items from Bereli that were real but I don't know about this one.

Thanks for the video link. This guy is really helpful. I watched it and am 100% sure Bereli sold me a real Romeo 5. It comes in non retail brown box packaging but it is a 100% genuine Sig Romeo 5.

Just what I needed. Can't beat the price.

Mine took a crap after 20 rounds, basically once it was sighted in. I expect a box of ammo with my replacement which I most likely won’t get. Wouldn’t trust my life with this thing at all

That's far from the norm. Until now, I hadn't read or heard of one that stopped working. Even though I haven't had any problems with the two that I own, I still run a set of BUS in addition to the Romeo.

These things are coming up a dime a dozen around $100 these days, are they coming out with a new model soon or something?

Yes, I own two. Happy with them so far, but new low price? Previously about $115 with shipping.

Decent deal for the high-mount only Romeo5. Just ordered one with free shipping and no sales tax added (shipping to LA).

Is this an older version or what? I know it only comes with the high mount but "(featuring 5,000 hours or more of life)", all newer descriptions I've see say 50,000 hours and no mention of the motion detection auto wake up feature. Just make sure you know what you're getting. I couldn't really use this anyways, I need to spend the extra and get the low mount version.

I just zeroed the one I got today. I also have the holosun 403b. there is absolutely no difference but the one I got did not come with a low mount so I had to use the low Mount that I got with my 403b. Exact same everything except the logo. Mine did not come with the low mount. Zeroed it very fast. Best value in rds

I've read this same copy/paste of your "friendly warning" in the comments of many offerings by Bereli here on gun.deals. It's obvious you don't like them. Seems you have more work to do as you haven't copied/pasted it repeatedly to ALL of their offerings, yet. You can find the ones you've missed here: https://gun.deals/content/bereli...
This is just a friendly heads-up.

I have had one for about a year now and like it. Holds a zero well, I haven’t abused it much either though.

I order these a week or two back.
Came with high profile mount only, in a factory sig brown box, no instructions to leave in the box and ignore.
    Came within a week.
    Works great

Should have come with low mount as well, 2 or 3 different allen wrenches, a manual to ignore, a cleaning cloth no one has ever taken out of the package, as well as a battery.

You might have gotten a return?

Nope, clearly stated on the website, high mount only. Thanks for the concern tho.
It was def new. Have bought another since then.

A seller on fleabay with good ratings currently has mdl# SOR52001 that comes w/both mounts, fancy box etc for $115.99 + $5.99 shipping, I don't know if they would charge you tax or not.
Osage County Guns has it for $129.99 w/free 2 day shipping. Appears to be tax-free for me. Osage is GTG, I've dealt with them before.

Here are other options on the mdl# SOR50000 that you purchased (I haven't dealt with these folks):

    Thanks for the informative reply.
I hope its helpful to someone. For me, having a box of parts i have no intention to use isn't a plus tho.
I will continue to support bereli for now. I am not like, loyal or nothing, but I'd buy from them long before anti fun fleabay.

You seem like a cool fella, thanks again for the reply

You are thinking of mdl# SOR52001, which does indeed come as you describe, in addition to being housed in a fancy box.

Same red dot. The only difference is this has just the one mount, and the 52001 includes 2 mounts.

Just want to mention that this is the old model, i.e., SOR50000 compared with 52001.
