Maybe for $300 cheaper. Good gun, but as a used range rental? You might luck out and get a gently used one, but you may also get one that has 15k rounds down the barrel and in need of some replacement parts.
I bought one new for 699 4 years ago new and the deal included a sig mosquito and sig's promotion of 3 extra mags and a nice sig soft gun case!
Agree, there are too many good Sig options out there to pay this for a range beater. Maybe not this same model but there are a lot of lightly-used P22X Police Trades showing up online at or under $500 these days. Even deals on new ones at around $600-700.
Yeah, this price seems pretty high for a range rental gun. I shoot at a PSA location, none of those guns are "lightly used", they've all seen quite a bit of action.
I wonder how many rounds have been through it at my range I'd never buy their sig because I know how many rounds have been through it
I couldn't care less about range wear, surface scratches or metal wear showing the high spots broken in. Those things keep it from looking like the kid with the bright white new shoes at school does just before the class bully stomps on them.
Kidding aside, the Sig Sauer is made with the highest quality steel and the night sights should last many years. My SigPro, which I purchased in 1999, still has bright glowing night sights made by Sig Sauer. You can never go wrong purchasing any Sig Sauer. And no, I am not a factory rep nor a firearm salesman.
I bought one of these expecting the worst but it showed up as new in the box. Mags were still in their plastic bags as was the pistol. Factory grease, oil and no marks or loss of finish on the barrel hood, recoil rod or inside the slide. Grip texture is sharp and there’s not a mark on it. Couldn’t be happier. textsharand
