Description
Sig Sauer gave the discreet, all-metal P238 platform some 9mm muscle, and the result is the P938: the first 1911-inspired 9mm microcompact by SIG SAUER®. Fans of the 1911 will find the thumb safety, magazine release and slide stop lever all in familiar places.
A single-action-only trigger, coupled with full-size SIGLITE® Night Sights makes the P938 handle like a much larger pistol, yet is still easy to carry concealed. With dimensions just slightly larger than its .380ACP counterpart, the P938 can pack six or seven plus one rounds of 9mm into an all-metal frame, depending on the magazine (this version includes both).
Sig Sauer has included with this special package both a 6-round (flush fit) and 7-round (extended) magazine with a finger-grip extension. In addition, this P938 also includes a SIGholster.

FWIW I paid 549 for my wife's around Memorial Day at GM.
cdnn had them in all black 5 or 6 + months ago for less then $500, being a huge sig fan, my neighbor got 1 for his wife to replace her old colt mustang
it surprised me how heavy it felt, it's not much larger then my Taurus 738, when he handed it to me, all he said was "it's a real pistol"
This sells for $689 at the big box stores.
I think it's unfair to compare prices here to big box stores. I compare firearm prices to slickgun prices, not in-store prices.
While I suppose it's a matter of cost+demand, I just don't see how these are selling above $500. I'm holding out for a sale on the (discontinued) set with laser and two mags.
I picked up the SAS version of this pistol for $499 shipped from PSA last Black Friday. I absolutely love the pistol as an EDC piece, it's light, accurate & incredibly easy to conceal. I have heard some tales of these pistols being picky about what type of ammo you feed them. I've only fed mine GECO 124 grain FMJ at the range & Hornady Critical Defense 147 grain JHP for business & I've never experienced a failure of any kind.
Bottom line: great gun & a steal at $539, buy it! You won't be sorry.
