The P226 is the pistol that set the modern standard by which all other combat handguns are measured. Designed as SIG's entrant in the military trials to replace the 1911, today the P226 is in use by the U.S. Navy SEALs, Federal agents, and numerous law enforcement agencies around the globe. The exceptional ergonomics and balance make this full-size pistol easy to handle. This pistol features a robust forged carbon steel slide and forged aluminum frame making it relatively lightweight for an all-metal firearm. Its longer 4.4" barrel yields better ballistic performance and accuracy. These pistols boast a respectable 15+1 capacity in the readily available 9mm. This pistol also features a de-cocker and slide serrations. These pistols have been rated NRA Surplus Good, so expect to see some varying degrees of wear. We are offering a "Hand Select" option, which will get you the best of 10 cosmetically.

This is what I paid for a NIB MK25. Granted it was three-ish years ago when dealers had a lot of stock sitting not moving so they had great sales going. Still though, a NIB MK25 with three mags and night sights. This gun should be around $400 if it's decent condition.

Classic is losing touch with reality these days. The 226 is on my list but this price is almost comical.

LOL....I see these are still sitting here unsold. If its overpriced, it won't sell.

Yeah, not much a deal. Ive got a 25yr old P226 that's perhaps my most fav handgun ever, even if just because Ive been shooting it 20+ years, but $800 resale? C'mon. $550ish is what i'd sell it for. Maybe 650 if I sent it back to SIG for their refurb treatment and retested it.

The real problem here is you can get a better used P226 on Gunbroker/etc or pay $200-300 more and get a brand new P226 MK25 with chrome lined barrel and phosphate, or a P226 Elite (w/Short Reset Trigger to end those long trigger pull gripes some have) ----similarly priced but both brand new and much nicer/up to date than this.

NRA good for old P226's at $799 is not a deal at all.

2 years ago you could get SIG Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) P226's in LNIB/Excellent/Grade 1 for $550 etc on places like CDNN, in fact I saw used P224's for that price a month ago and they were more like excellent to LNIB (sold out faster than I could post an ad, I mean get my wallet honestly)

FYI: SIG CPO's are used SIG's but they get all their internals changed, etc to anyone that didn't know, I've only seen those P224s recently however.

I’ve owned 2 p226s, one 9mm and one 357sig. Never had any issues with muzzle flip. You’d have to be seriously weak-wristed if you can’t control one of these.

Dont waste your money I got one and it has a non functioning magazine and a rusted slide and the slide is pitted and basically it is a door stop it is cheaper to buy one new than to buy one of these and repair it

Ben is overcharging for these because they got a batch and he is the only retailer to offer them. There are plenty of these floating around out there at better prices. I suggest if you want one just be patient and don't gamble here
