SIG SAUER introduces the P224, the first true subcompact in its classic all-metal firearms line. Ideal for concealed or off-duty carry, the P224 offers all of the features consumers expect, with one small change.
Based on the P229®, one of the most prolific sidearms in federal law enforcement, the P224 takes the same hammer-fire reliability and lightweight all-metal frame and puts them in a subcompact package with all of the familiar SIG SAUER controls and functions.
Despite its small size, the P224 maintains a double-stack magazine for a capacity of 11 rounds of 9mm and 10 rounds of .40S&W; or .357SIG giving the P224 a decided advantage over most subcompact competitors. Newer model P229 magazines can also be used for an even greater round count.

What are you talking about? This is a subcompact 229.
Sig Sauer refuses to honor their rebate program from last year 2017 where they promised thousands of gun owners 2 magazines and a pistol bag if they bought certain models of Sig. They have not honored their words. All other gun companies have honored their word except Sig Sauer.
This one is weird; sig teamed up with Springfield to make a line of pistols. After the lack of success of this pistol, sig quit production and Springfield made the XDE. Either one is among the best of their kind.
Does this come equiped with Sig's "Short Reset Trigger" ?
My P224's have been some of the best handguns I own. I have 2 in 9mm and 1 in 40 and they are great shooters. Right up there with HK, SIG is top notch. Unlike a few other vendors (looking at you Smith and Wesson) they have top notch customer service and great products. If you like metal framed, hammer fired handguns this is as good as gets for a sub compact.
