This guns are not backed up by Sig Sauer in service neither warranty. I called Sig and they told me that they do not recognize this Mosquitos as their product. I called Rguns to ask for clarification about this statement and the lady who attended me was very rude and agressive with his expressions and vocabulary. She was a very nasty and despicable person with me. Be aware that if you buy this gun and you have a problem, you will be all alone there.

So there like counterfeit guns, how could they make counterfeit guns ? I suppose GSG always made them so they could just make another run of them. Wouldn't think they would take the chance of a lawsuit though. Luckily I got one, ha ha !! I guess its always been a GSG firefly anyway. Theres a couple at my local gun shop I'm going to compare some originals to this one.

I can not comment with regards if this is a Counterfeit gun or not. The only certainty that I have is that these Mosquitos are not backed up by the Sig Sauer warranty and in case you need service, Sig will not accept them.

Not a good experience. Communication with this company sucks. They lost my FFL info so I had to resend it again after a week delay. They were pretty rude and acted like answering a simple question was a huge deal. They actually said "we have so many orders for this gun that we are just trying to process them" and " you will get your order as we process them" But I didn't and had to call back.
So this mosquito finally comes in and it has a GSG stamped on the slide and the same hammer as a GSG firefly I own. I called Sig and they ran the serial number and its not in their system. However the rep at Sig told me they would warranty the gun anyway if needed because it says sig mosquito.
I own a original Sig Mosquito and a firefly with a threaded barrel and they are the same gun. My original Sig Mosquito does NOT say GSG on the Slide and the hammer is black not polished like this one.
So in the end:
If I had to buy this gun all over again, NO WAY. I bit at the $175 and regret it without even firing the gun yet. If you always wanted a mosquito but didn't want to drop the coin you could buy this or a Firefly. Same gun.
Sig's parent company owns controlling interest in GSG anyway.

Dguns also engraved their company name into the slide, I didn't expect to see that.

I don't understand all of the complaining from many of you. I got Mosquitto 5 days after I ordered it. It's not rocket science. Put your ffl's info in the ship to area, and wait for it to arrive. You got a good gun at a great price! It's like you need someone to hold your hand and comfort you. Maybe if you all quit calling them about your order they could get them shipped out faster. If you don't like the gun, send it back and get a refund.

I buy guns all the time from Online, this was by far the worst experience. I have never been lied to before about shipping because he did not want to deal with it.

Not sure where the disconnect is. I ordered mine Sunday and it arrived yesterday. Painless for me. Sorry to hear others are having issues.

I told them to cancel it, I do not want to give any money to any business like this. I will just buy an ATI Firefly

You'll get it, did you make sure your ffl's license copy was sent ? I had a small delay and sent it a second time with my order # attached and the next day my credit card was charged and gun was sent. I don't think these guys are real efficient so you got to make it as easy as possible.

I ordered 4/7, and nothing. I even got my FFL to send him his licence the same day. I had to ask them last week when he thought he would ship my gun through email. That's when he told me it had shipped and could not give a tracking number(security reasons) and that my FFL would get it yesterday. , I should have known then something was up. When i called today and he said he had not only had not shipped but had a stack of 5000 emails and FFL that he has not gone through because he does not have 5000 people working there... this guy can go pound sand!!

The guy I talked to was a Dickhead too, but I had read that here about these guys, got my gun though and everything is great !! They even give you a receipt !! Only have to deal with them for a minute so I can tolerate them for a good deal.

Ordered this gun, lied to me told me it was shipped two times in an email, refused to give me a tracking number for "security reasons". Told me it would be delivered on a specific day, it was not. I called in the guy was a jerk, told me it had not even been processed yet after two weeks. Do not buy anything from these people... rotten service. I would not care if the gun was 1.00, I would never buy from them again.

Stay away from any Sig Mosquito! Worst trigger ever....I've never felt a gun that had such a hard and long trigger pull. The worst part is Sig knows it and continues to produce this crap. Do yourself a favor and buy the new Ruger 22 lite mk4.

mine came with 2 springs. 1 was behind the padding in the box.
shoots good btw.

Here is a link to the manual: https://www.sigsauer.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/MOSQUITO-MANUAL.pdf...

Reference page 9. Also reference the exploded diagram on page 26.

There are two different springs included with this gun from this supplier. I can pm you a picture if you would like for further confirmation.

Yeah I read that in my physical manual as well. And my Mosquito did come with two springs. The spare appears to be longer. But I installed both and racked the slide many times. There is no perceptible difference to me. And the FAQ on the Sig website also says there is no difference. I'm really not sure at this point. Haven't actually tried firing with the other spring. Recoil springs do change length with use. The only way to see is if someone were to fire standard velocity rounds with both springs and see if one functions better.

Anyone know where to find threaded barrels for a Sig mosquito? Haven't had much luck searching the web thus far... thanks.

You're probably better off getting a GSG Firefly with threaded barrel.

Ordered 4, all came within a week with no problems. Don't know whether this is a big deal but they are consecutive serial numbers. Nice! No problems with function yet shooting CCI HV.

I know everyone thinks that there are two different springs that comes with the Sig Mosquito. I'm just not sure this is true.
This is officially from the Sig Sauer website:
https://www.sigsauer.com/support/faqs/...
"Are there two different recoils springs for my Mosquito pistol
No, there is only one recoil spring offered for the Mosquito Pistol. Initial production of the pistol noted two different spring weights. Mosquitos are shipped with spare recoil spring as a replacement and is the same as the recoil spring installed in the pistol."

I highly doubt that the ones we're getting from this deal are initial production versions.

The crap reviews are well deserved. I've had 2 of these things and neither were worth the box they came in.

Received mine. Cleaned it thoroughly and swapped out the factory installed spring with the "standard", non-high velocity spring in proper orientation. Worked like a champ with 100 rounds. For people who read the reviews of only using mini mags, etc. I would highly recommend reading this link: https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=957815...

This is a really nice semi-auto .22, at an exceptional price. Would recommend, just be sure you understand the different springs included so you can set it up best for the ammo you chose to use.

U can't put the name Sig and $175 in the same sentence.

I'll pass, but it's nothing to do with the vendor. The reviews for this particular gun have been awful, and dropping the price won't make it a better gun.

Right after I bought it, I realized all the issues this gun has. I mean for someone starting out and on a budget, it's a good option. It can really train you how to deal with malfunctions. Would not recommend anyone use this for home defense or conceal carry as it would be putting a lot faith on a relatively unreliable gun. There are so many better options out there.

I had no communication from them after my order, just a phone call from my ffl saying my gun was here a few days later. Haven't shot it yet but it feels great in my hand. Excited to shoot.

A little helpful information. Sig Sauer recommends using CCI Mini-Mag ammunition. That is what I use and have had no issues. You can buy these at your local Academy or online. They actually have the best price. They have a 10 box limit but I placed two separate orders for 10 each. If they show out of stock online, check back a couple times daily as they get stock on this regularly and it sells out quickly. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/cci-mini-mag-22-lr-40-grain-high-velocity-rifle-ammunition...

I just got back from the range, used golden bullets, 6 mags +1 no issues. I used some white box, when I put one in the chamber I had 2 fte on that first shot, no idea when, the golden bullets didn't do that.

Maybe an ammo issue? Not to be that type but as far as the super x goes, if its the cone type hp, I've yet to find a semi auto cycle them properly. I have a few bricks and they have been reserved for my bolt action rifles.

It will be OK. My friend and I both ordered one Friday and they made it to our FFL this morning. No update no tracking. It will get to you in a few days, hell I thought it would take over a week being a smaller gun shop. Gun came with one mag, rguns engraved in small print on the slide and 2 springs, all enclosed in a sig case. As long as its not a jam-o-mattic after a good buff and shine, including the feed ramp, I'll be happy! BTW, it included a hand written receipt with all info including my phone number and address for mf ffl to see

I got mine and the first thing I did is take a dremel with a sandstone and smoothed the ramp and polished. Then I cleaned and oiled it, took it to the range. I shot 200 rounds of Winchester Super X hollow points 40 grain 1280 fps. Had 15 failure to feed, 30 failure to extract, and about 7 light primer strikes. A couple of failure to extracts were bad and I had to use a pocket knife to pull the spent case out of the chamber. I'll only be using this as a range gun and it's good to practice dealing with malfunctions. But if anyone has any other tips, do tell. Ive seen some stuff on youtube about disassembling the slide and grinding the safety block so the firing pin can travel a little further to solve the light primer strikes. Also saw a comment about grinding the extractor so it catches the rim of the cartridge better. May consider it.

Got mine today. I had two friends order after I shared the deal with them eight hours after I ordered mine. Both friends have not had their order processed yet. They called and were told they are just backed up because this deal is so popular. Glad I ordered first. This is a great price. Ordering another one now. They have 1,500 to sell.

You won't get any notice or tracking number, I called asking about my order and that's what they told me, they said they do it for security reasons.

Anybody else receive their firearm yet? I haven't received an email that it shipped or anything! Usually I expect an email when it ships and another when it arrives. I'm a little concerned.

I got mine, they shipped within a day or 2 of my order, only complaints are they didn't give the ffl my phone number and didn't notify me it was shipped even though they had my email etc, those are things I'm just use to and expect from business providing customer service, but anyway the price and speed would make me order from them again.

I live locally so I stopped by to look at one. Seems like an okay gun. I'm gonna try filing and polishing the feed ramp when I get it after the 72 hour waiting.

As far as magazines go, Sig has them on sale for $10. I ordered 2 for $30 after shipping. It shows out of stock on their website but I called and placed an order over the phone.

Not that great of deal when you consider the mags are sold out everywhere and have been discontinued. Unless you want pay $25 a piece for them. If you can find extra mags at a good price, I say go for it. Sounds like a great price for a Sig.

Don't the GSG firefly mags also fit (since it's just being rebranded)?
