Never saw that deal, but that's a good price. I have to pay sales tax with grabagun so I always take that into account. $600 also has $50 in tax. Still a good deal

I picked up a 1911 Nightmare from Grab a Gun for $750 but they kept the little .22 ? Now if you "want" the little .22 and the deal, the Nightmare with the "free" 1911-22 is almost $1200 .... So much for "free". Good thing I didn't really need another .22 pistol ... Now if it had been a free case of CCI .22s I would've been all over it :) .....

The promotion got me looking at Sig 1911s and I found a 1911C3 for $599+$5 shipping at Grabagun. They said they were not a participating dealer but for the price I bought one anyway. It seems like all the prices changed when this offer appeared. A bet a lot of dealers sold the 1911s cheap and got to keep the .22s

After reading these posts I am not too angry at Sig anymore. Like I said in my original post I was not even looking for another firearm but this promotion got me looking for another 1911. After hearing the prices-I had no idea what the MSRPs were till now-I find the C3 was a steal at $604 shipped, no cc fees, from grab a gun. $624 after FFL was great. Another big bonus for me is my S&W E series 1911SC holsters fit the C3 perfectly. I did have to get officer size mags though because all my 1911s take full size.
Somewhere along the line I bought a Sig 1911 .22 and it does seem to be a OK pistol. Very accurate and functions 100%. Only about 300 rounds through it because it's not that much fun to shoot. It sure functions better than my P22s. I will use the Sig .22 as a teaching tool for new shooters. I must say I never saw such a F*#+ Up on any promotion anywhere.

Cabela's honored the deal for me last Saturday. I was the 2nd one in the store to bring it up. I just received an email from Sig now saying that "As a result of the overwhelming demand for our recent 1911-22 promotion, we are announcing that allocation of these promotional packages has been fully committed. While promotional product will continue to flow into dealer locations throughout February and March, we will no longer be accepting dealer reorders." So, the deal is now over. I'm glad I got mine when I did. I shot my Sig 1911 C3 this week, and it was buttery smooth.

I think $900, even getting a .22 with the deal is too high! Screw that!

Just traded my .22+300 cash for a new palmetto m4. So 1150 for a sig 1911 and a decent ar15. It's all In what you make of it

I purchased the C3 at my local Gander for $949 and received the .22 for Free. I plan on keeping them both. It was a pleasant surprise to find out the Sig .22 has a threaded barrel.

I have to say i was excited to see this deal, looked everywhere for an ultra tt in stock but everywhere offering the deal has been raised back to list price 999.99 is lowest. I found the same gun on gunbroker through tanner sports on sale in a buy it now auction for 699.00 + $20 shipping. man i wish i could have at lease found one at around 850.00 i'd have bought it for the free .22. looks like they are just using the deal to get rid of some of their in stock .22's the deal Sounded good at first.

Apparently, that's what I hear. That's why I'm not planning on keeping it. It's supposedly got plastic sights and has a finish that wears very fast

Is the Sig 22 really made by German Sport Guns?

Unethical? Don't all retailers buy guns to resell them? Apparently market isn't saturated because nobody is honoring this deal. Refer to bid price on gun broker this week. I'll be getting free crimson trace

Let me be the first to poop on this parade by saying the sig 1911-22 isnt that great and goes on sale for cheap often enough... also buying a gun with expectations of selling is a bit unethical and in practice silly.., all u guys cant go buy into this deal and expect to sell the 22... the market will be saturated. Not like there is a huge demand for the 22 or else they wouldnt be GIViNG it away for FREE!

Gander Mountain is still offering this deal, Just ordered a Sig Sauer 1911 TACPAC Handgun and got the Sig Sauer 1911-22 Handgun for free I plan to do exactly what Rbaron02 proposes.

999.99 with free shipping to store, anything cheaper does not include the 22.

When I ordered mine from topgun. It was in stock for about half an hour. I might have to sell that .22 for a set of crimson trace grips. Brilliant!

fail to see how this isn't a good deal. I got a compact C3 for 850 shipped from topgun supply with the "free" .22. Lowest price online on that gun is 800 at buds. say what you want. I could sell that .22 for 300 and end up with a 550 dollar Sig 1911

Somewhat agree.

Top gun is offering good deals. They seem to be the only online dealer offering this.

My lgs is selling the c3 for $1149. Which would make this a no deal.

Wish top gun had more models instock. At this point they appear to be the exception.

This is an ok deal.

First the 1911-22 sells for 300ish. Grab a gun has one for 299 right now.

The 1911-45s are selling at MAP. Which is generally close to $200 over retail.

So at the end of the day you are essentially saving close to $100. Potentially a bit more. Potentially a bit less. Adding the trouble of finding dealers that offer the deal and have what you want in stock - Makes it a deal- but not the the super deal which it originally sounded like

Gander Mountain, even if they have this deal - it is not a deal there. Many of their prices are $400 above what you can find online.

I called Sig this morning and what I was told is that this deal was limited to SHOT Show purchases only and there are limited dealers who got in on this deal. They would not tell me who those dealers are, I was told to call my local shops and see if they are participating. From talking to the Sig rep, this doesn't sound like a very well thought out promotion on Sig's part, but maybe I'll get lucky.

Top Gun Supply is offering it on three of the models, but only show one in stock. Looks like the pricing is elevated from 'normal' to cover at least some of the 'free' 1911-22??

This is true. In order to participate in the program the gun needs to be sold at Min Advertised Price. I was looking at TACOPS version and typically you can find them on sale for $889. MAP price is $1062 but includes 1911-22 with this price. Looks like the price difference would at least cover the cost to make the 1911-22.
