Curious why this doesn't have SRT trigger or beaver tail if it's an elite. Says elite in slide but maybe sig using over run slides on this version. Nice gun regardless.

I've been wondering the same thing. An old Sig Catalog from 2014 says this model should have it.

When you to say it doesn't have the SRT kit or beaver tail is this from something you read, or did you actually receive the gun from SMGA and notice this?

The gun should definitely have the SRT kit (short reset, NOT short reach -- the trigger itself is the same) and beaver tail. If not then something very strange is going on.

I'm still waiting on mine to ship. If it arrives without the SRT and beaver tail then I'll be contacting SIG customer service from the FFL before accepting it.

There was no SRT in the description of features. These were sold out so I ordered this exact model from Buds for a similar price.. Also the description of this model gun on Buds website did not list SRT in the features. However, when I picked it up 2 days ago it did have an SRT. I'm very happy.

This is an amazing price for this pistol with night sights, two mags, and free shipping. I have an earlier generation P220 I bought back in the 90s for roughly this price & I love my Sigs. But the $66 tax pretty much kills it for me, though...... dang. I'm going to go slam a door on my head a few dozen times now.

It's beautiful and I looked at one at a gun show over the weekend, but what held me back was my single stack Kimber has 8 rds., and my Glock 30 is 10rd,13rd, or 27rd and is smaller then the sig.

You should be able to get extended mags maybe. You would think a Sig that size could have been designed to hold more rounds from the factory, but it does look amazing!

if you want higher capacity in the same form factor (mostly) look at the Sig P227. 10+1 (or 14+1 with the extended base plate).

The P220 was created around 1975. Single stack was the way it was back then. Even the ones made in 9mm were stingle stack. The double stack P226 didn't come along until around '83. The P227 came out a few years ago and is Sig's answer to the double stack .45ACP.

Single stack or double thismpistol is an ALL TIME CLASSIC. Proven over the years with millions of rounds down the pipe. This is a world class pistol

The market is very good right now for high end guns.
I think most manufacturers mass produced thinking that ugly bitch Clinton was going to win. Now that she didn't, all these manufacturers are sitting on their over produced guns and are just looking to sell. I've been buying Sigs sub $700 every time I see them. The price will rise again. Even with the .40. Been buying those up, too. Ever since the report came out saying the ballistics are the same as a 9mm, no one wants them. They'll eventually bounce back but a gun is a gun. If I can get a pistol $100 cheaper bc it's a .40...... Damn right I'm buying a .40.

There must be something screwy here. I've been in the gun game a long time, since my first police academy 22 years ago I've wanted the P220 and never bought one because the $1000 price tag was just too high. It's gonna be a long day trying to decide on this. *sigh*

No game. YOUR IN THE RIGHTNPLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME. YOU BETTER BUY ONE IF YOU WANT ONE BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE GETS IT.

Nothing screwy about this deal. I'm with JPo. I believe guns were piled up thinking the beast would be POTUS. Now the manufacturers have lots of inventory they need to move. Lots of stores have good prices on the 220 scorpion right now. Buy this sig and enjoy. This particular store here is a great one. I've had no issues buying from them. Very fast shipping and great deals.

You've wanted a Sig p220 for 22 years, "been in the gun game a long time", and are still debating on buying it? That's kind of an Oxymoron (ish) lol :)
