Description

The VG6 GAMMA 556 is a high performance muzzle brake for eliminating recoil. It was designed using state of the art engineering techniques, utilizing CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering). This product is 100% CNC machined for optimal performance.

The VG6 GAMMA 556 is a muzzle brake and compensator hybrid. It virtually eliminates recoil and minimizes muzzle movement. The unique combination of both braking and compensating features inspire shooter confidence and allows the shooter to make very fast follow up shots. Its unique chamber geometries give it a very soft feel in the shoulder and the gas ports dimensions have been strenuously tested to give the utmost control to the muzzle.

The VG6 GAMMA 556 has been tuned for versatility. While it is perfect for SBR’s and AR pistols the brake has been optimized for 10.5" to 18.5" barrel lengths. The Gamma556 will allow you to saturate the target no matter how fast you shoot.

I end up at a problem page

http://www.schuylerarmsco.com/rejectedip.html?5483203187...

Looking on the site the $65 kit doesn't seem to have any more than the $48 kit here....

the $48 kit just has the buffer tube and shockwave blade. The $65 kit also includes the buffer, the buffer spring, the backplate, and the castle nut.

I ended up ordering it and the picture there did show it, hopefully it works out.

I have bought a ton of stuff from Schuyler and he has always delivered. You'll enjoy it. He's generally on top of getting stuff shipped out quickly.

I have to avoid dropping in on their site, it vacuums my wallet when I drop in ')

The Gen1 PA10s worked, but they are VERY proprietary.

I built one from parts, did the research on what work and what didn't (a lot) and mine runs fine. Basically, as long as you mated a PA10 lower (or PTAC10) to a PA10 upper, were not using a Geissele trigger (known problem with some), and used the few parts that were proprietary (the rest were DPMS) they generally worked.

I had no issues putting my together, but lots of folks certainly did have issues. Gen 2 are cosmetially different and are supposed to offer 'improved functionality' (their ad words, not mine), but I don't know what that translates to.

I built mine with:

• Faxon 5R 18" mid-gas barrel
• Midwest Industries G2 15" DPMS 'low' rail
• SLR rifleworks Sentry7 adjustable gas block (WAY WAY overgassed with a standard gas block)
• RRANM2S FCG (trigger)
• Aero Precision NiBX BCG (tried a KAK dual-ejector first, but it would not head-space correctly)
• Used standard receiver extension with the DPMS 308 Carbine buffer and spring

Cycles with Wolf steel cased, Ruag zinc-plated, CBC/Magtech 7.62x51, Hirtenberger/MEN surplus 7.62x51, Winchester bulk, and Remington bulk without issue.

All that said, if you think about building one ***do your research*** or it can end up a PITA.

Dunno about offloading unwanted inventory, but the price of the Black M5E1 was $255 a week ago, now its $265 ($272 w/shipping). When factoring in shipping, I can get it cheaper at Monmouth ($266) & Tom's ($270), right now. And I historically like Schuyler and have bought from him before. Still, some decent deals here but nothing that makes me want to load up on parts for future builds. Would like to see a gun.deals coupon from Schuyler like others often do.
