Shoot us a message at [email protected] if you think you have an issue that would affect functionality. We'd be happy to work out a return or exchange for you. The ones that we spot checked seemed to have very minor blemishes, but nothing that would be causing any damage to other parts.
I ordered one, and it wasn't blemished. Has about 4-5 significant dents, which look to have happened after coating, which would mean after heat treat, and if properly heat treated, would require significant bashing, or it means it wasn't properly heat treated. Haven't tested it out yet, and while some of the dents are on the rails, I think it would function ok, but I'm worried about those sharp corners on the rails slowly grinding my upper.
I really should call granite, I just hate returning things.
Also, I've never been unhappy before with any of the many blemished ar parts I have purchased before, because they have only been blemished, not chopped into by a harder object. I understand that I am purchasing an imperfect item, but that those imperfections shouldn't affect function.
