Description

Sharps Bros., a firearm design and manufacturing company, has announced the availability of the Gen2 version of their popular Hellbreaker receiver. Hellbreaker’s distinctive appearance is inspired by the P-40 Warhawk, which was one of the United States’ most-produced fighter planes when World War II began. The “nose art” that became a popular military tradition was born from the practical need to identify friendly units, but eventually evolved to express a squadron’s individuality. Considering the vast majority of AR-15 lowers look the same, we thought it was time to improve upon the standard and create some visual diversity in the market. The fierce Hellbreaker lines are where looks meet performance: it takes painstaking detail work to machine each tooth point and eyebrow curve, but we never skimp on quality along the way.

When you hold a Hellbreaker, we believe you’re holding one of the finest, most unique M4/AR-15 lower receivers in the world. The receiver now includes updated features such as, threaded bolt catch pins, reduced weight, and improved styling.

Sharps Bros. AR receivers are milled from solid blocks of 7075-T6 aluminum. Advanced machining capabilities and hands-on craftsmanship ensures that every design is not only precisely detailed and visually distinctive, but superior in quality and capabilities.

In addition to a unique appearance, all Sharps Bros. receivers feature:

• Oversized integral trigger guards
• Beveled magazine flares
• A hard coat anodize finish per MIL-A-8625, the anodizing model for model for most military and aerospace products
• Full compatibility with all mil-spec internal parts
• Full compatibility with all other aftermarket mil-spec upper receivers
• Full compatibility with PMags, Hexmag and other standard capacity magazines
• Multi caliber mark

Can’t wait to have this on my rifle and explain to a jury of my peers that it’s just for aesthetic purposes only & not malicious intent

If you think paying 6x's the cost of a standard lower is ridiculous (closer to 7x with Tax), Check out this Lower for 11x's the cost.

I'm waiting for the Battlestar Galactica Cylon Lower, so I can add a red LED light to it!

If this was the same price as a $40 Anderson lower, I'd still buy the Anderson over this doucher.

Why is this worth $275?

Reading the specs, these are milled from solid blocks (billet) of 7075-T6 aluminum. Billet lowers are more costly since everything is milled away as opposed to Cast/Mold lowers. Also it appears there is some extra hands-on in refining the end product. So really these are closer to 2-2.5x the cost of a Billet lower.

Do I get a reach around for this price? Spikes got their reach around from the “Bros” then they dropped the Bros off on the corner. Someone got sloppy seconds....

Wait, so you are paying over $200 extra for only the benefit of being the most easily identifiable douchebag at the range?

What makes them a douchebag? The fact that they have an unique looking gun than yours? If they want to spend the money on it than so be it. Who gave you all the authority to say what’s cool or not. If you don’t like it than don’t buy it.

I would define "douchebag" as someone who pays quadruple the price of standard just to standout. This is the AR-15 version of those cars with "Snickers" on them rolling around on 24" spoked rims.

You see cars rolling around with snickers on them?

I would define douchebag as anyone who gets butthurt because someone else spent more money on something than they think is reasonable. Cry more please.....

If that thing had some skulls and flames on it, I'd consider it. Or maybe even a freedom eagle or a gadsden flag.
