Shadow Systems MR920 Combat 9MM
Black / Bronze - Tritium NS
+ 3 FREE GLOCK 15rd Mags

The MR920 Combat is a no-nonsense tactical pistol with features that have historically been reserved for custom guns. The compact-sized MR920 Combat took its inspiration from its predecessor, the MR918 Combat. The DNA of the pistol is the same as the MR918, but there have been some significant changes to the features and function which make this pistol work for more people. The features and price point of the MR920 Combat model make it the perfect EDC pistol. The MR918 frameset a new benchmark for low recoil and controllability in rapid-fire. The MR920 draws many of its design cues from the MR918, but the dust cover now includes a recoil control ledge for the support hand thumb. This control point further reduces muzzle flip in rapid-fire. The frame of the MR920 continues to feature the NPOA backstrap system which adjusts the ANGLE of the backstrap to match the shooter's natural point of aim. The pistol system includes three backstraps, a removable magazine well, and a backstrap removal tool for your convenience.

Glock 19 9mm 15Rd OEM Magazine
Like no other pistol, Glock pistols permit almost unrestricted compatibility of the magazines within a caliber. Standard magazines, for instance, can also be used for backup weapons. Compact and subcompact Glock pistol model magazines can be loaded with a convincing number of rounds - i.e. Glock 26: up to 33 rounds. The innovative polymer frame of the Glock pistol does not require grip shells. As a result, it has considerably more space for the magazine body and enables double-row staggered cartridge configuration. For this reason, Glock pistols are superior in firepower to conventional pistol models of the same size. Glock magazines have a stiff metal tube encased in the proven Glock high tech polymer. This resists deformation - even when dropped from great height or exposed to extreme environment conditions.

UPDATE:

SS is at least willing to help. Contacted them Tuesday about the applesauce trigger they put on their guns and they reached out the next day.

They said that even though they’re guns are meant to be “fighting guns” That they were willing to at least send me a tested trigger pack so I can drop that in and see if it improves my experience at all. So they get an A+ so far for service and timely response.

One caveat though is the term fighting guns is rather vague and I of course know what they’re trying to say, but I don’t think a rolling trigger versus a crisp trigger makes a gun a fighting gun if anything it’s less predictable which intuitively seems like you would want to be certain when you’re ready to pull the trigger in a fight.

Looks like for around the same price, you could just buy a G19. Add an aftermarket slide (GGP, Lone Wolf, etc.), a fluted barrel, some night sights, and a trigger job. And probably be better off.

He’s absolutely correct $1500 at least!

For 800$ lol, you haven't built a custom glock have you....

On the cheap tear (not gucci)
Glock is 500$
Barrel 150$
Slide 250$
Frame work (stipple, undercuts etc) 200$
Magwell 80$
Trigger 100$
Night sights 80$

Not even close.

All except the lone wolf part, haha, just playing. Yes, and if you don’t need the fluted barrel (purely aesthetic) then your in for even less.

Another option is the OR M&P 2.0 4”. This can be had for around $550 and is out of the box a hands down better shooter.

The ONE advantage the MR920 has is plateless optics mounting, but the M&P plate is thinner than 1mm.

PM me for pics comparing the two

The other drawback is that it's not a glock. Lol

Honestly the juice ain’t worth the squeeze on this one. Owned the OR one at like $750 for around 4 months now and my Dagger is more accurate and reliable, a $299 glock clone.

went thru a high speed marksmanship class with a world champ shooter last week in NorCal and he personally shot my gun and couldn’t get it to perform as well as some stock glocks in the class or his M92.

I had similar under whelming experiences with the MR918 (gen 1 essentially). The trigger in these have multiple walls, very mushy and heavier than need to be, even for carry. The MR920 continues the legacy of the same inept trigger.

I’ve had multiple stoppages when using the magpul mags it ships with and others I’ve purchased separately. However, those GL9’s work fine in my 3 G19’s and 26, so who knows.

I think most people should save their money, buy a stock Glock and get a slide mill job (if you want to run an RDS) or get a decent stipple job, striker spring, 3.5 lb connector and heavier trigger return spring and you will have infinitely better performance and repeatable accuracy.

Sidenote, the Night Fision Sights on this are “OK” but they have a good amount of light on the sides of the front post but still manage to be too wide for very precise shots (like a FO would give you). So if u opt for no optic and want more than just “combat effective” groupings, count on changing out the sights on your $800 custom factory glock clone. Lame.

Buy sumpin else.

Glad to see market forces at work. Fancy and expensive is not my thing. Well made and reliable is. These seem to be good to go, but still high when you consider the patent is up and many companies are making clones now. I might try one when the price goes lower.
