Description

MR920 Features The MR920 is a feature-packed, compact-sized pistol that is designed to work with existing G19 holsters, magazines, and gear. The MR920’s frame features configurable ergonomics. Interchangeable backstraps allow shooters to adjust the grip angle to fit their natural point of aim. An extended beavertail and aggressive trigger guard undercut work to dramatically reduce recoil and increase controllability. The frame’s wrap-around grip texture is aggressive enough to keep the gun firmly in the shooter’s grip without being uncomfortable for daily wear. The MR920 slide has a thinned profile at grasping locations and directional serrations in the front and rear (as well as topside on some models) for easy manipulation under stress. The match-grade barrel is conventionally rifled and spiral-fluted to improve evacuation of debris. MR920s are also available with threaded barrels, for those departments that allow the use of muzzle devices. The drop-safe, flat-faced aluminum trigger has a 4.5-5.0 lbs trigger pull and a crisp, tactile reset. Optic cut models allow shooters to mount the mini red dot optic of their choosing. The optic cut on the MR920 can accommodate most major brands of RDS optics directly mounted to the slide, without intervening plates or adapters. • The Shadow Systems MR920 is basically a made in America Glock that takes the gen 4 to a new level as far as the frame is concerned. The frame is significantly improved over the Glock frame and has an innovative backstop system that changes the point of aim by changing the contour of the rear backstrap angle. So if you're a 1911 guy who wants glock reliability but can't stand glock grip angle then this gun has you covered. The texture on the gun is pretty aggressive - a good shooters texture - a bit more annoying to carry than a standard glock - but worth it. The slide cuts are very good for slide manipulation - they really got this right about the gun. The optic cut I have my doubts about but it hasn't failed me yet - they don't use any recoil bosses in their cut and just provide ridiculously long/strong screws and polymer spacers to simulate a press fit in the optics cut. My holosun doesn't quite engage the spacer meaningfully so it's probably not quite doing what it was designed to do - which was be slightly oversized to take the fore to aft play out. In about 2000 rounds it's not caused any problems. The barrel is INSANELY accurate. The gun impresses me a lot with how practically accurate it is. When I check zero with my dot I'm usually rewarded with teeny tiny groups. The trigger shape is quite good - I'm a pretty big fan of the sculpt of the SS trigger shoe - but the trigger pull quality is not much better than a gen 3 or gen 4 glock - sadly. I am pretty sure that's unique to my model as others I've held had better triggers. It ships with a super awesome gun rug that accommodates magazines and is included with 2 15 round PMAG magazines. They include literally everything you need to work on the gun a couple punches to drive all the pins in the backstrap system and swap out the magwell. I've carried this gun since getting it - it's ridiculously nice and worth the premium over a glock to me. One start deducted for trigger quality.
