Shadow Systems® focused the design of their highly-innovative MR918 Elite to provide you with a modular semi-auto pistol that delivers well-placed shots instinctively, and to always operate flawlessly. The polymer frame comes with 3 interchangeable backstraps (high, neutral, and low), which adjust the pistol's natural point of aim, by raising or lowering the muzzle so the pistol points naturally like your finger. The contoured frame utilizes a double, under-cut trigger guard and a high, extended beavertail to place the shooter's hand as close to the bore axis as possible, dramatically reducing recoil and muzzle flip. Aggressive grip texturing extends around the curves of the frame to provide a solid, non-slip hold. A removable magwell extension speeds reloading, if so desired. The slide is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, and features a window cut to reduce weight slightly and enhance overall balance. Front and rear directional serrations and serrations on top the slide provide optimal grip surface for loading or clearing the weapon while the shooter is under stress. Serrations are cut specifically to interfere minimally when drawing the pistol from a holster. The match-grade, spiral-fluted, 416R stainless steel threaded barrel is mated to the slide for maximum accuracy potential. The spiral barrel fluting clears debris in extreme shooting conditions, reduces barrel weight, and helps dissipate heat. The MR918 Elite semi-automatic pistol utilizes a flat-faced trigger with a proprietary trigger bar that work in unison with a TTI connector to provide a consistently clean break, with reduced take-up. A trigger safety prevents the weapon from firing unless the trigger is intentional pressed in the center, and several internal safeties prevent the weapon from firing if accidentally dropped. A solid black rear sight and a green tritium front sight allow precise shot placement, as well as a nighttime index point for rapid shooting in low-light conditions. A 1/3 co-witness, side cut-out allows for attaching an aftermarket Trijicon® RMR reflex sight, and some Holosum® sights. An enhanced LCI extractor with proprietary geometry reliably extracts a wide range of ammunition. The Shadow Systems MR918 Elite Semi-Auto Pistol is compatible with GLOCK® Gen4 G19 holsters and accessories. Ships with 2 Magpul® high-capacity magazines.
