Shipping is $15 unless you get a "trial" membership for $10.
Anyone have experience with trial memberships?

I was able to get the membership for 9.99 for 3 months or something like that. They ship pretty fast. I don't buy enough to justify the regular membership price.

What a rip off.. it’s $190 after the discount. Wtf is state shipping tax? Making shit up like phone companies...

Actually $190 shipped to your door if you don’t have their club membership

Ordered another 20k. When the virus hits this stuff will be gold. Whomever has the most firepower will rule. Anarchy will reign. It’s a brave new world.

$20 off code worked ($179-20=159). Need to be member for free shipping and additional discounts (which I already am). Back ordered till 03/21/2020

$190.35 after shipping to IL. Still cheaper than the range!

Oh it's also on back order, but still a good deal if you don't need it now.

At $190.35 this is NOT a deal. The shipping kills it. If its on back order I definitely wouldn't waste my time on this "deal". And fuck that "IL Shipping tax too". Soon as I see that, I'm like fuck IL and SG for adding that as a double tax (from IL).

Shipping tax in VA as well...what is that?? Amazon doesn't charge me that.

Now they charge tax on the shipping too....LOL. Time to switch over my Dillon 550 for 9mm.

Non-members pay an additional $8 plus shipping, plus tax. Not a deal when Academy has the Browning ammo for $0.17/rd shipped, no member fee.

I recently placed an order for some IWI 308 ball advertised on the Sportsmans website for the phenomenal price of approx 5.00 / 20 rounds .. The deal was posted on the slick guns site. Later that morning I was telling a friend .We checked sportsman website and it had been changed to approx 50.00 / 50 rounds I can get match ammo for that price..I tried to cancel the order that day but was told it had already been shipped .Amazing when it usually takes a day or two to ship... I asked Sportsmans for a prepaid label to return the items but did not get one. Piss poor customer service and dubious business practices. I cancelled my prorated subscription and vow to never send them any more of my money.

if your ordered cheap things and got free gift cards they are a good deal! like for 4 boxes of 9mm for 36 shipped after lots of fucking around during their recent free gift card with purchase promo.... otherwise they are a rip off...

Yawn... Wake me up when Sportsmans guide has this for $95 for 500 shipped in a milspec 50 cal can. Until then they are just gouging. Even LGSs are cheaper now. No deal at all

You Need to BUY membership in order to qualify for this price. NOT a good deal! The company is also a bad retailer with terrible history of canceling orders. I will buy my ammo elsewhere.

no 22 here either & same thing same order as bulls eye still waiting & not the first time they did it

Bad retailer. Terrible business practices. They collect orders, only to cancel them a year later because the market value has increased, and they can sell their product at higher prices.

i placed one order with them back in febuary 2014 for 22 lr ammo they listed in stock then went to back order .keep moving the shipment date up june 24 ,now july 21 all passed and not shipped .im not ordering anything from them until they ship my order.if not shipped or canceled i will not do business with them no more .

they canceled my last order sneakily. sent me a letter by post, and i had to reply in one buisness day or it would be canceled. i got busy and could not call. i even used a coupon on that order they gave me from them canceling a different order. a total cluster buisness.

Same here. I had several other orders from a time before the run on ammo, when a brick of cci went for less than $20, and they cancelled it a year later even thoug I kept updating the backorders. Seems t me that they they figured that they could sell it to someone else for 3x as much. They also refused to keep the backorders for any longer, or replace them with any other 22lr ammo. A really scrappy way to treat customers, and doing any business.

Ordered this last time, great deal. It appears to be overrun on a military contract S&B had, the headstamp is "MIC" with S&B printed onto the side of the cartridge.

Me too. Good ammo/deal. Sorry I missed it or I would have grabbed another 1k!

Sportsman's Guide has an issue with Gun owners in California. They won't ship to me and I am a member. I guess they will take my money for other items but won't ship ammo, which is perfectly legal in my county in California. Why this bullshit?

they don't have an issue with gun owners. They have an issue with overzealous government employees that like to sue retailers. You shouldn't blame an online retailer because you choose to live in a slave state.

I feel your pain, Gander will not ship to NY residents any more, they were always over priced anyway, but its still annoying. No ammo restrictions till next year (so what gives?)when this god awful state will require full background checks for every ammo purchase!! No online etc. So much for these deals (or being able to buy ammo)....needless to say I will have to stock up.

They did the same thing with a friend of mine who ordered 50 rnd rimfire mags in OH. They said that it was illegal in OH for over 30 rnd mags in OH. The restriction only applies to centerfire mags in OH. He fought it all the way to the top of SG. I threatened them with lawyers and SG buckled.

Great deal IF it is 1st run S&B virgin brass, NOT re-loads. Buyer beware. Note description does not say S&B brand, just "Czech production". Low price and generic white box showing "cartridges marked S&B" are other red flags. I called SG and they confirmed it is 1st run S&B so I stocked up. Decision comes down to do you trust SG?

I don't recall ever seeing S&B doing re-loads.
The description does say reloadable, and the box says Sellier & Bellot all over it.

Maybe I'm a fool, but I trust SG. Never had a problem.

n10znTX, Thank you for your comment. I didn't consider this when I purchased and assumed it was first run brass, but it is something others should consider.

I picked up a thousand rounds to add to the stockpile. It worked out to be $242 shipped to my door which I consider a good deal for S&B reloadable brass. Thank you for posting.

SG has got me totally suckered in by the $15 gc promotion. Order with $15 off + get $15 gc that stacks on next order. If you buy multiple calibers, they will reliably have a few good deals before the gc expires.

Next order get $15 off, use $15gc, get another $15gc code to do it again. Rinse and repeat.

So $226.48 total (apply 3008 code & previous $15gc) + another $15gc = $211.48 delivered to my door for S&B 9mm. Solid!

5% back from fatwallet too.

EDIT: This was a good deal. I grabbed 1k and renewed my membership.
The renewal got me free shipping and I still used the $15 off / $15 GC code.
Paid $252.49 - $12.62 fatwallet = $239.87 (1k rounds, membership, $15 off gift cert.)
