This is good stuff for short barrel 300blk. I have an 8.5 in and it shoots very well, both suppressed and unsuppressed. In fact, I have not had one malfunction in about 600 rounds or so. Mostly suppressed. Maybe 100 unsuppressed. Under 48 cpr is a decent price for this stuff too. Cheapest factory loaded brass 300blk you'll find. FWIW, for those that are new to this, if you don't have a suppressor, there's not much point in buying subsonic.
Shoots great suppressed out of an 8” and 8.5” build. Not subsonic out of a radical 16” though. Was around 1250fps. Still great ammo.
Great ammo, have put a a few hundred rounds through my SBR
Does anybody know if there will cycle reliably in any upper?
With all the variables possible, 'any upper' may be a stretch.
That said, I have several 300BLK builds, all running adjustable gas blocks with the gas only open 40-70% and they all run this S&B 200gr w/o issue. If you are running 100% open gas I see no reason why a properly put together upper (with pistol gas length, a properly-sized gas port and correctly installed block) would have any problems with this ammo.
The random carbine-gas length upper I would posit would have a higher possibility of not cycling properly. Thankfully, most run pistol-length gas systems (even in 16+" builds).
Anyone shot this stuff? Is it true subsonic?
Yes. Worked well in my AR pistol. Low recoil, not much kick but did cycle okay. I did notice that it left a mess in the gun with extra effort needed to clean.
Sub-sonic velocities out of the various 8"-10.5" builds I've tried it in. Can't speak to 16"+ builds, however.
This stuff is fantastic out of my .300blk suppressed SBR. Quiet and accurate, though I have mine sighted at 50yds because it's such a heavy pill and used for home defense.
I think the $398.99 price is a typo. More like $498.99 for me
