The 1911-S is an upgraded 1911 in 45ACP. It features a hammer forged stainless steel barrel, and stainless steel frame and slide. It also features a flared ejection port, Novak Style three dot sights, and an extended and ambidextrous thumb safety. The magazine well is beveled, trigger housing is undercut, and it features enhanced hammer and trigger. Included is an 8 round capacity magazine.

in stock today, just ordered one. The price was equal or better than my dealer price through the distributor who doesn't have it in stock.
My 1911 was shipped immediately and arrived in a couple days. I am the FFL so no delay there. I like the pistol. The one annoyance is a sharp edge that cuts into the top of my finger. I haven't fired the pistol yet, but even without firing it bothers me.
Have two of the SDS 1911's. The first one is the commander sized SS . Nice gun but had to put a full length guide rod and stiffer recoil spring in it as it had numerous failures to go into battery. Seemed to solve the problem. Second one is parkerized tanker model also 4.25 inches. First round had a double feed with aluminum cased 45. Rest of mag ran fine. Next mag also ran fine with brass cased ammo. This one also has a half length guide rod. That's the only knock I can come up with on these. Wilson combat has full length commander sized guide rods that work fine.
