Schrade Viper 3 3.5 inch Automatic Knife - These Out-the-Front openers are super fast and well made. They have a safety on the side and the mechanism takes a little getting used to, but they are truly awesome and impressive. The 3rd Generation Out the Front Assist model is no exception. It's got a 3.5in double edge spear point blade with double recurves that act and cut like huge serrations, tough aluminum handles, and a locking safety mechanism. This is a cool looking knife and one you get the hang of it, will be something you will enjoy playing with. I agree and couldn't believe my eyes when I opened it. What the hell are the people of Schrade smoking down there ?! It's got to be the worst designed knife I have ever seen in my almost 50 yrs. It is super sharp though but what an absolute joke. The "switch" or opening lever is down by your pinky and unlike most otf knives it's only one way willy. Meaning it opens with spring but you must manually close. Garbage

I have this useless knife. Ass backwards how the button release is at the bottom of the handle not at the top where the blade comes out. Notice the pictures depict both ways. Release on top of one pic last pic it’s on the bottom.

You’re 100% right. I have one of these and it’s terrible. Uncomfortable handle. Stupid release button.
