I'm not sure, but the included buffer tube kit might be this one made from 6061: http://tacsports.com/AR15M4-Buffer-Tube-Kit_p_45.html...
I noticed something kinda odd ....... the URL of the RTB page for the TS tube kit alone mentions "UTG":
https://www.righttobear.com/utg-6-pos-buffer-kit-fde-buffer-tube-acar-bss01m-set-blk/...
Maybe they just reused an old URL and made it point to the TS product? I didn't spend much time looking, but I didn't find any evidence of UTG/Leapers being associated with TS.

Part of me wants to get one out of defiance, since I don't yet own an AR pistol. But if they do manage to re-classify it as a short barrel rifle needing a $200 certificate to own, they might be challenged in finding me as having one, but it'd probably be risky to go to my range with it again. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail to knock down this gun owner harassments law making attempts.

Fear mongering and opportunistic gouging. These were 90 bucks 2 days ago. Then Beijing biden issues an executive ACTION, not order, and corporate shills start pushing a panic to pad the bottom line.

This would be a stupid buy when you have to get an NFA stamp for your gun in 60 days. Might as well just buy a regular stock.

The worst part is you will be giving Uncle Joe and his Ho more money to fund their pet projects. Like defunding police and gifting their funds elsewhere, paying for poorly ran Democratic cities (ex-NYC, Portland), paying for illegals upkeep, and more gun control measures. He has already spent $2T and has another $2T planned. How long has he been in office? Less than 3 months? Biden..."Hey Argentina, hold my beer".

There is a big difference between an executive action and an executive order. What biden just did in regards to gun control are all executive actions and are not legally binding. He basically just requested or recommended the ATF to do something in regards to pistol braces or 80% firearms. All biden succeeded at was making it noted that he made an attempt on gun control to satisfy the far left, and placed the burden onto congress to do something because biden knows he doesnt have enough authority to do anything via executive order.

So, for now, your pistol braces are safe from further regulation. It would take an act of congress to change this.

Yeah well, if he gets this anti gun freak installed ass the head of the ATF, things are going to get ugly real fast. They'll be attacking any and every feature they can. They'll classify high cap mags as BATFA regulated items with a 200 dollar tax stamp required on every magazine. Hardly anyone owns 10rd AR mags and they will be completely unavailable sold out everywhere so effectively, your AR will be useless or you might have 1 30 round mag you payed a 200 dollar tax on. Someone needs to stop this madness now.

“It would take an act of congress to change this.”

Or just a simple reclassification of the braces from ATF (see Bump Stocks for more info). He asked the ATF to do this, and nominated a new director with a track record of having a hard on for infringement.

Yeah well, get caught with a bump stock right now and see what happens. These people are out of control.

Bump stocks were easy to ban because they were a gimmick at best. Pistol braces actually serve a function to assist those who are disabled along with making a rather heavy pistol able to be wielded more safely and effectively. I don't doubt that the aphabet boys will try to reclass braces, but they are going to have a harder time choosing the right words to use in order for it to stand up against a supreme court. Based on Chevron doctrine, bumpstocks are likely to be made legal to own again, potentially without even a tax stamp as well since the atf ignored their own definition or what constitutes an automatic weapon. And the atf can't do anything to change the national firearms act since it is a piece of legislation written into law. Only legislation can change legislation, not a government agency. The atf can only do their best to chose the definitions and hope to have the foresight to see how innovative manufacturers might be in their compliance to those definitions.

"Pistol braces actually serve a function to assist those who are disabled along with making a rather heavy pistol able to be wielded more safely and effectively."

True that is what they were designed for but do you know a single human that actual uses that way? With a single hand outreached and most likely Velcro'd around the forearm? Plus you have every idiot youtuber making videos flaunting their use as a stock. Remember when bath salts were banned in most states? Was it before or after it was super duper clear that 99 percent of the people buying them were NOT using them in the bathtub? I love my four "pistols" with braces but lets be honest why they sell so well among the non-disabled. And unlike Acehole, I can pass a NFA background check (do so many, many times) so I have little to worry about on the very off chance this executive ACTION goes anywhere.
