I hear ya. I have two AR-15s. Bought my first about a year and a half ago (Windham Weaponry Carbon Fiber) from Gunbuyer and my second about 3-4 months ago (APF Econo Carbine) from Sportsman's Guide. I really like them both and haven't had any problems with them. Hardly have any time to shoot. I have only put about 20 rounds through the APF, and maybe 300 rounds through the Windham.I would like to get a Springfield M1A or an AR-10, but I really don't need one. Plus I would need to buy .308 ammo. I figure if I need that range, the 30.06 will do fine. I don't hunt. Just like to shoot for fun. And with 3 shotguns, a 30.06, 7 pistols, 2 ARs, and a Hi-Point 9mm carbine, I do more cleaning/maintaining than shooting.
I own this rifle and love it. It's probably my favorite of all my guns, and I have a lot. As far as the PSA comment.... I have 3 PSA rifles and they have all been flawless. What's bashing a PSA have to do with this Rifle? Your comment is pointless!
I put about 6 mags through my friends. Like I said, dead on. If I hadn't just got my second AR-15, I would have bought one. He paid about $650 or so for his. I don't have a PSA, but heard they were really good rifles. That moron bigdog has no idea what he is talking about. He just comes on this site to see what real guns look like compared to the ones on his video games. Simple minded kid.
Looks like Savage got it right! Still want to buy a PSA?
bigdog1-That's all we need...another idiot Liberal with an AR-15. Hey Twinkie, stick with your XBOX games and leave the REAL guns to the adults, kid.
Everyone else---I shot one of these on the range a few months ago. Very accurate, and has full blackhawk furniture, ...but like my MAGPUL furniture better, especially when I can get it in grey and not have to settle for the black on this one. Well worth the asking price for a basic starting rifle.
Lol! Hillary rottonclinton. I see him comment on a lot of things. Always saying "still want to....". He'll post a comment for a 9mm and say "still want to shoot a 9mm? You can buy a .40 and put a 9mm barrel in it". I just let him go but the whole PSA comment was stupid and pointless. Especially considering this guy probably never shot either. Anytime you're curious about a PSA, Google "PSA torture test". After watching that is why I bought my first one. Yes, I love my Savage MSR-15 Patrol, but second over all of my other AR's is the PSA. They shoot anything I feed them and very accurate.
